This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
If Joseph can earn the trust/respect of a numb skull like Pacman Jones, he has a good shot to develop a relationship with Ndamnukong Suh. Word is Suh runs the D-line room.
I think he'll need a strong D-line coach to earn Suh's respect. Possibly an older coach who can still relate to young players. This will be important.

You say this team has 15-20 cancerous players....BUT YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE. Then how do you know there are that many? I will agree that the Fins do have some, but...
No decent coach on this team. Well, we don't know that statement to be fact or not as the season has yet to start. Since Gase, et al, is our coach, I think he should be given a chance to see what he can or can't do. A chance means a few years. If I recall correctly, Shula had no HC experience either when he took the Colts job...worked out pretty well.
Owner is clueless.....Um, can't argue that one. Let's just hope the FO has done it right, this time, and Ross comes out of this smelling like a rose.
We have a QB. We need two decent to good guards. At least one tackle who could fill in, if needed. CBs are average, at best, but in today's NFL, that is not good enough. Grimes could make a good #2. LBers need an upgrade.
Receiver is Miami's strength. Two solid, Landry and Parker, one who has more potential than what was shown (Stills), and Matthews, who will probably leave. Need to upgrade the TE position, also.
Miller will probably leave, as you said, but not because he will be looking for a playoff team. It will be a team that offers him more money than Miami, along with a team that will utilize him more than Miami did. We still have Ajayi (tho I don't trust him to stay healthy) and Williams is a decent back.
I wouldn't say Miami is a huge mess, but they do need a coaching staff that can get the best out of them, which means putting them in the position where they can utilize their skills to the fullest.
Work to be done, no question, but we can only hope the brain trust can do it right, this time.

First thing in a while that actually makes sense sam. Isn't it nice not waking up with a hangover?

TCPF why dont you go put a ticket and rip off someone would you?
FootballGod, here's an exercise in logic, if your team is sh*tty (and there can be no doubt ours is) and this is a chatboard posting about the condition of your team, how can you logically post anything but "about how sh*tty your team is"???????????

You see, you either get what I'm trying to say and you're just debating me for the lolz, or you honestly don't understand that I'm trying to point out the EXTREME negativity that has hit this board lately. I've been on this board for almost 6 years, and I've never seen it as bad as this. Yes, the team is in need of a lot of changes. Yes we have been in the shitcan for 15 years. However, as a fan I have to have some, at least some, belief that the fins will succeed next year. Otherwise I'm not a fan, I'm an ex fan. If every single post you make is about how horrible and wrong the team is, then I have to ask you why you are labeling yourself a fan, and why you continue to post.
There is a difference between posting about the areas you see as problems and ways to remedy the situation and just posting "we suck" and "sell the team" on every single post. (not talking about Chyren as I don't think he does this)
You could talk about many things.....
What kind of defense will the new DC run? What dead weight will we cut? Who can we sign to fix the issues? What kind of success has our new offensive staff had with QB's? What free agents should we resign? Who should we draft?....hundreds of topics...
But when you just bash every aspect and derail EVERY post with whining and crying ABOUT THE SAME CRAP, you sound like a big baby who just got his pacifier taken away.

Can't wait till you say this once again next year when we suck once again and are out of the playoffs by midseason.

Sam, there are some posters here who do not write 100% negativity. At times, a post will be about how poorly the team played. Mostly, however, it is just as Joe said (above)...draft, coaching, FA, etc. Others just can't get over how bad the team is, and in some cases, how bad any particular player is.

I understand your feeling, Sam, however, until this coaching staff gets on the job, we know absolutely nothing about what is or isn't going to happen.
I mentioned in an earlier post that Shula had no previous HC experience until the Colts hired him. Not a bad hire. Shula was also the youngest HC (at the time).
What I am saying is that we, as fans, must give the new regime a chance before throwing them in the shitter.
chren b quote: But we also talk about how we've been down this road before....hoping those prior moves would make a difference.......
Exactly.
Maybe if we were in the playoffs or lamar miller for example would be tearing it down rushing the football or tannehill would had broken 4500 passing, then we would have more interesting things to talk about....
I know it gets annoying but some of us are just frustrated as hell...
You remember when the year started.....How we were all optimistic about our chances .....how tannehill was actually handed all the new receivers.....How tannehill talked about been in sync with the receivers....etc...
I dont know about all of you but when the season started i was in a sky high....
5 games into the season we were almost out of the playoffs.
Its not easy to come crashing down like that...
Im so down i would consider just one playoff loss a successfull season next year.
Do you get it now TCPF. Have i explained myself?........If you dont feel the same way then you are not a dolphin fan....>And that goes for the rest of you on this board.
Now this is the hire that scares me. Joseph has never been a DC before, ever. Not even for a two bit no name college team. Kevin Coyle was a DC for 5 different college teams and he still sucked.
