They had Jay Fielder on this morning. Described him as the Dolphins best QB since Dan Marino. he wasn't bad, but I think he just was a good game mangers that rode the coat tails of an incredible defense. Oh well.....

Fiedler's claim to fame is that we had more victories with him at the helm than any other QB since Marino (or something like that). Plus it's currently fashionable for the media (and the fans) to crap all over Tannehill, hence the Fiedler-was-better theming. Funny thing is i'll bet the same pundits (and fans) were calling for Fiedler's head when he was our QB.

Oh fiedler was better than tannehill 100 times better....And he made some incredible plays with his legs scrambling.


I dont know why people hate fiedler so much.....not counting marino fiedler is the only qb we have been successfull with....Fiedler for a few years and chad pennington for just 1 year.

Again, I think Fielder was smart (ivy league school)but he had the benifit of complete shut down corners, Madison and the Duo of future HOF Jason Taylor and Zack Thomas. Daryl Gardner, You boy Tom Brady said that Era Dolphins was the toughest defense he ever met.

Fiedler was fair to middling as far as QB's go. He had little arm strength and rode the defense to wins his entire tenure.

Exactly. JJ built a hell of a defense. I only wish he stuck around a few more seasons.

I was one who wanted Fiedler gone from just about the first time he stepped on the field. It was obvious that his lack of arm strength and inability to push the ball vertically down the field was going to be a fatal flaw to the team and its offense.

Little did I know at the time that I should at least be happy that he wanted to the throw the ball down the field and kept trying to do so and that defenses did have to account for his wounded ducks and ugly rainbows. As opposed to the two QB's we've had since, who could throw really pretty passes vertically down the field but never want to do so and have accuracy problems so bad that those pretty passes end up being ugly bounces off the turf.

Jesus, this team would be so much more successful if we had a QB that was just OK at doing everything. Throwing on the run, throwing from the pocket, short, intermediate, and deep passes. If we had a QB that was just average at all of those things (not great at any), we'd win many more games.

Look at me, I'm a Dolfan! I'm not even dreaming of a QB that is great at everything. Just not limited with huge holes in their game, that'd be a huge step forward.

Better Morning.....They played "Let's beat the Cowboys baby" set to the music of Kid Rocks , Cowboy. Much more positive after the win last Sunday.
