Although I think its probably unlikely that Campbell gets the full time job next year, I have to say, I love his victory speeches. Completely unrehearsed. Completely from the heart. Completely sincere. You know exactly what you get from Campbell cause he doesn't have a fake bone in his body. If I were a player, I'd fight like hell to win as many games as possible and keep him on as my coach.
You're probably right, Sam. The shame of it is that Campbell might develop into a pretty good head coach, but the timing here in Miami might not be right. I'll still pull for him though. Compared to the cavalcade of losers that have coached this team recently, he's a breath of fresh air.

I have no complaints w/ Campbell unfortunately he is not experienced enough to get us to where we need to be. My list for guys I would like to see us interview:
Mike Shula OC Panthers
Hugh Jackson OC Bengals
Tom Cable OL/Asst HC Seahawks
Mike Singletary Vikings - made the mistake of treating the 49'ers like football players instead of babies.
all on the list have had previous runs as HCs but went back into the ranks and have learned more about the game and should be ready for a second chance.
Im dropping Seahawks OC Bevell from my list and adding Giants OC McAdoo, He has the least experience but I like what he has done calling the Giants O the last 2 years even with their oline problems.
Sure beats a speech written on a postcard by an assistant. .....
Ross finally has something special fall in his lap. Let get a new DC , Possibly even a new OC, AND GIVE Campbell a 2 rs contract. He deserves it.
But we are Dealing with Ross here. He likes big famous people to show off with.He doesn't know how to relate with a meat and potatoes blue collar type guy like Dan Campbell.
Campbell would also have to find top cordinators who would want to work under him as mentioned. Can he draw them? Fire and guts are good but X Os and strategy wins games. Giants vs Patriots was pure coaching an excellent game.

Campbell has been in yhe league almost 2 decades. He's won championships and Been in the pro bowl.he's Met more then a few people and is a popular likable person.it's not a stretch to think he can put together a winning group of people with the same passion he has.

He TWO games then lost 2. Sorry you lost your boy learch Philbin, but you need to deal.the team hasn't had this level of passion since Ross got J. LO's autograph.
we beat two bad teams and got schooled by two division teams. the guy has inspired better play. I'm not arguing that. I'm just being realistic.
If you look at the bios of our coaching staff it's laughable. I just don't see how we're going to lure proven nfl coords to work with a guy under a 2 yr contract.
let's say that sean payton is available via trade. would you sacrifice a first round pick for a proven head coach that will assemble a quality staff or stick with Dan Campbell?
Bowles was an asst coach, JSM08.......ours, in fact....one we let get away to sign your boy Philbin who was also an assistant coach....many times over.
