Everyone chill. We are playing NE in 4 Days. Why kill ourselves with a huge lead. Great coaching to pull back and conserve to make Tom Brady the second coming of Joe Thiesman

I'm pretty sure the media will question the 2nd half during Campbell's presser. I can't see the whole game so I don't know what the hell is happening. Are there a bunch of backups in there, or is the scheme causing this? I've heard "prevent" defense a couple of times...and we all know that equals "prevent nothing".

Treasure has a good point, Sam. This game is in the bag already, no point putting players at risk when we need them the most this Thursday.
And I really hope the Lady will be the 2nd coming of Theisman. Even if half the damn team gets fined afterwards....
It's refreshing to come out prepared and ready to play 2 weeks in a row! When's the last time that happened? You guys should remember gor YEARS we've been stumbling in games like this we SHOULD win. That said its still against 2 teams with a combined record of 3-10. And I'm not sure WHAT to make of that second half...lazy half-a$&ed effort by some starters big lead or not. But hey...ill take it.

You got blinders on. Look at the big picture. A good coach plans ahead.
I've never liked the idea in any sport of telling a team...ok, were up big go out there stay safe and don't play to hard. The prevent is 'smart' on paper just hope it doesn't take the edge off them. The Pats had to play today too...speaking of, did Bowels learn his end of game management from Philbin?!?!? Damn they should have won that game.

Tannehill 4 TDs 158 RAT 8 different targets
Miller 175 rush yds 230 total
Team 248 rush yard 296 pass 544 total
Pouncey and Turner downfield blocking on that Landry total nice.
Another good day for the oline
R Jones 2 weeks 2 ints for td nice
2 sacks by Suh and Wake Suh is starting to wake up.
Another great game by our No Name coaches
We get out of the AFC east base and watch Rex drop great.
Has anyone here ever seen the Patriots "turn it off" in the second half? Coast? What about the Packers? Or any of the great..teams?
You never turn it off. You keep scoring. That's why you are on the field. To play and score.
The second half of this game was a gentle reminder of how this team usually performs.
Anyone getting excited that we didn't see results duplicated in the second half need to back up and look at what Miami just did. We had more yards in the first half than any team since 1991. Also, coming out in the 3rd quarter Miami put in various 2nd and 3rd string players. If Landry or Miller blew an ACL in second half there would be a lot of ppl here questioning the coaches. Texas also came out in the second half with a lot of adjustments and played against our backups.
Remember guys. We all used to bitch about the lack of offense during Sparanos years. Look now. 31 points last week now this. Be happy. Be grateful. We have a competitive team guys! We have weapons on offense, enough to put up serious points each game and a defense that at a minimum can keep us in the game. Coaching was the biggest thing holding this team back. Go phins. Let's get ready for a war on Thursday!
Word is that Arian Foster tore his Achilles this game. That pretty much ends his season. Hate to see that. Never like seeing players get hurt like that.

While I agree that we have choked spectacularly over the last decade in many games like today's, games we should win big, we have still done little except beat two teams with a combined 3-10 record. If we make a good showing Thursday I'll start to believe.
Right Football God, and another thing, it seems to me that Campbell is getting almost as much flak about using the blowout to see what he has on his bench than Philbin got for not playing anyone but starters.
You not only make a good point about a starter getting injured in garbage time but what happens if a starter gets injured in the first half of the New England game and you have to play someone from the bench who does know sh*t from Shinola.
One thing was for sure and that was that Houston was not giving up and that provided valuable experience for our backups.

Oh hell yes. That point is right on the money Chyrenb. Thinking back 3 weeks and compare how you felt about going against NE to how you feel now. Yes we won against two teams who we should have won against. But realize we should have beat JAX. We have seen this team play like we thought they would now that Campbell has the wheel.
I don't know how everyone else feels, but I feel much better about our odds going into the pats game now that I've seen our offense put points on the board.
I was only able to watch parts of the game on Red Zone. How many starters were pulled in the second half. I know Lamar and Jarvis weren't played, but how about on defense? Did Wake play much in the 2nd half or Suh, Grimes?
