We haven't played a half that poor on both sides of the ball since the KC game...My tannehill just isn't good enough voice is awake again...

Now I know why having a deep ball is very important for a QB.

As lackluster as our d was that second half, if our offense puts ONE decent drive together we have a good shot at winning...

The game was lost by having the improper defense almost all day long, particularly, as to pass defense.

What gripes me most this team is the same problem we've had for 15 years...NO killer instinct, will to win, whatever u wanna call it...on part of the coaching staff OR players! They were playing from 2 scores ahead most of the game and just CANT put it away...damn where's the bourbon...

I think the injuries to Taylor and James had more to do with the loss than anything else. We played them VERY close on their HOME FIELD! This is a team that a lot of people still think could make the Superbowl, so don't minimize this. We played a HECK of a game, particularly Tanny. Simms also showed us a lot!

dvr'd game just finished knew the result all along. It seems to be the same thing as long as i have been a dolphin fan. Even when we have a D that is stasistically a top 5 D we can never shut another team down when it matters most. That td at end of first half i knew was gonna kill us. I just wish we had a D that would rise when it really matters for once.Yes the O could have helped seal the deal better but it alwyas seems the D (even back to Marino era) only shuts down against weak teams or when it isnt really critical. IMO that isnt a top ranked D. Damn i'm frustrated. Was figuring it would be ugly so was prepared for a loss but that's my phins gotta suck you in and then dissapoint ya.

Gave up too much to a no name RB, and on offense once again didn't run the read option when we could have and tried running up the middle. Another great game by Landry, Simms coming into his own, Gibson looked decent

Thought Thomas & Fox played great on the O line

I may be changing my opinion on Tannehill. Thought he played another strong game and it was manning missing the deep ball 3 times.

I really feel the NFL gives Payton calls

Man I couldn't get on for a bit server was down..........

Any hoot , I lay this game at Coyle Like chyrene said , but ultimately Philbin. Does not know how to change gears when they do.

Injuries were a factor, but this is just lackluster coaching. Hopefully we can get through this season with a playoff appearance and have a major coaching change.

We won't be getting to the next level without it.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Dude, how quickly you forget pretty much every coach we've had since JJ. This team is playing better than they have in the last 10 years!

Montequi we are 6-5 seemingly bound for 8-8, 9-7 at the best. Another disappointing year after picks and FA signings while the pats pick up castoffs and again look to be the team to beat in the AFC.

LOL! When have I ever forgotten that!? You can lay that at Hickeys feet my friend. winking smiley

But every NASCAR has its ceiling . You win by driving technque and making the best moves possible.

We got alot of the right pieces but they are not being used correctly. You do not stand back and play zone against Peyton Manning. You can try it. Hell try anything! But when it aint working change it!! These coaches are so out of their league its almost disturbing. Its almost like they are afraid to change gears.

No doubt we are a good football team. The rest of the League knows it. But we will never be great if we dont have leadership and a gameplan. A flexible gameplan that accounts for injuries and other teams changes.

Its that simple. drinking smiley

If They kept Philbim and Lazor I wouldn't be crushed. They are playing better then ever. But We have to get a new Defensive coordinator. hands down. We are wasting the talented defense with this schmuck.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I think yesterday proved why you don't just put guys in there to "see what they have".

Jamar Taylor was absolutely overmatched out there. that goes a long way in determining whether you blitz all game or not. even with help he still got abused.

and would it kill Vernon or wake to show up in a big game? those two were handled easily by a much maligned Oline.

It's one game at Denver. Not many expected us to win that game so I'm not sure why after people were predicting 10-6 after last week's win why we're suddenly an 8-8 team. Because we lost at Denver?

I agree with whoever said it...our d isn't all that. We shut down the bad teams and struggle against the good. the sign of a top D is showing up against a top O.

Our D line was invisible yesterday. Zero pressure, 150 yards rushing. Our secondary played as if it had never seen film on Denver's passing game.

When you have zero creative blitzes and only bring on average 3, 4 libeman. Well at least Tannehill marched down the field again and got the team within 3. Kevin Coyle has been needed to be shown the door last year. Terrible Terrible coach.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Is this real life? Tannehill was the best QB to play football yesterday... IN ANY GAME.

For the life of me, I cant figure out these people. wow. smh.

coyle does suck but it's not as easy as just saying blitz. we did on a few occasions and they were beaten badly or we held.

at some point your touted dline has to step up and win the battle and they didn't win one yesterday. not one.

I'm seeing a LOT of positive progress, but injuries have killed us this year. We've lost or starting and backup LT (who also was our starting RT), all our best CBs except for Grimes, our best RB, even our best pass rusher (Wake) sat out some of the game yesterday. Meanwhile, we've played well against the elite of the NFL (NE, Green Bay, KC, Denver, Detroit). We annihilated San Diego (another very good team), and put away the teams we were supposed to beat. Sorry, but barely losing to Denver AT Denver with all the injuries does NOT mean we've taken a step back.

Actually, he played well until he got hurt and went out. Then Jimmy Wilson came in and the penalties killed us.

Early in the game they were successfully disrupting what Peyton was trying to do, so I wouldn't say they didn't show up.

Ok so we basically got a preview of what the Pats are going to do to us. Awesome! Sad face.... Well so we beat up the Jets on Monday then get destroyed by NE beat Min, lose to Baltimore and finish with another Jets win to finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs. So I wonder who we pick at 20th in April?

Our pass rush was nullified by a by a very stout O-line.

lol! " best QB to play football yesterday... IN ANY GAME." Really? He played very Griese like in the first half, kudos, but he was far from the 'best QB', even in the GAME, Manning had a better completion %, threw for 30 more yards, 1 more TD and NO int's...and most importantly, GOT IT DONE WHEN HE HAD TO! The weekly passing stats show him 16th in yards, 8th in rating and 7th in Completions, Thats REAL LIFE BRO. 'BEST QB ANYWHERE YESTERDAY is fantasy land.

If you look at the stats from the second half, he's probably near the bottom in all categories. The O didn't put together ONE DECENT DRIVE the entire second half until garbage time. Our only score before that was on a turn over on their 20 that we almost turned back over 3 times before scoring thanks to a penalty.

That said, after much reflection and a little Bourbon smiling bouncing smiley, I agree with Chyren, The Defensive game plan looked lost most of the game, no pressure, few blitzes, poor tackling...and (of course) NO ADJUSTMENTS. Looked like Denver had a game plan -draw type runs and end arounds to keep Wake honest, then play action pass- and we had nothing to counter it. Tannehill played about as well as he can i guess, but all around another disappointing day.

Its the defense fault. Its not easy going against a hall of famer.

The Rams had zero problems doing it? They have a fraction of the talent or so at least we thought. So which is it? Injuries? Coaching? Or just average players?

The rams problem isn't on defense. It's at qb and oline.

They beat Denver because the game wasn't in Denver, because their defense benefited from crowd noise and their offense didn't have deal with it, and because they have a phenomenal dline that doesn't need to blitz to pressure the qb.

Comparing what one team did at home vs what another did on the road vs a common opponent is just silly.
