Satele's slipping. He did not look good in Indy. Should take a look at Fernando Valesco he did pretty good replacing the other Pouncey in Pittsburg last season. I think he is still out there.
1. Is this something that could of/should of been taken care of earlier in the off-season or did it crop up at the OTA's?....and
2. How will this effect his tenure here long term? This is two seasons in a row now that he'll miss games due to injury, add in the J. Martin nonsense with the Hernandez antics and you gotta wonder about the impending contract talks, might be best to just cut bait and find his replacement in next years draft.
edited to be clear, I'm not saying cut him this year, I'm just saying to be real cautious about re-upping him to a long term lucrative contract when that time comes

Now they really need to sign Travelle Wharton to play guard so Shelley Smith can play center. We could use the added depth and TW played VERY well last year.
Especially if Pouncey is going to be ineligible for 6 weeks of the season.

He apparently suffered the injury at OTA's last week.
Worst scenario, Pouncey is out for the season. And you know what, that's the view that should be taken. So, we need to hire a free agent, or trade to get a reliable and proven center--a starter--nothing less. I don't think experimenting with rookies is very wise.
Hey I forgot about the kid Larsen (a center) we picked up as a non drafted free agent. I liked him at Utah State. Brenner seemed to be a hardworking hard as nails type of guy and w/ Larsen we may not have to make a quick decision.
We need to sign a vet. We can't go into to the season expecting brenner or a un drafted rookie, 2 guys who gave never played 1 nfl snap at center, to be our starting center for a chunk of the year.

How did Tanny Suck last year? Or the year before? Ever? Its so obvious you are wishing for him to fail. But he never has . How you can call your self a dolphin fan is laughable.
You should change your name to Chastity. Because the both of you wish you had balls.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I would have never drafted Pouncey. His involvement with Hernandez in college (and as a person of interest in several criminal investigations with Hernandez) should have raised red flags during a background check. Last season when he wore his "Free Hernandez" hat, that should have been the catalyst to trade him during the off-season or the draft.
Now he's out for months, but that gives him more time to concentrate on his second job as the team drug dealer!
Pouncey was the best choice at the time. It was a huge need and he turned into a great player.
Who knows who knew what in 2011 about Hernandez? and who knew what Pouncey's involvement with him was?
The Patriots did draft Hernadez after all so drafting Pouncey was nowhere near the same gamble.
On a side note:
Von Miller, Aldon Smith, JJ Watt and Robert Quinn were all drafted in the top 14 that same year. WOW! What a year for pass rushers!
(Cameron Jordan at 24) Two of those have been suspended already for PED's.

Watt is a 6'-5" DE drafted in the 1st rnd.......other then skin color, how exactly does he remind you of Zack?

I know that. I was saying that Pouncey was trouble in college because of his association with Hernandez. This was before the murders of course, but there were enough instances of involvement in criminal acts (which were swept under the rug) by Hernandez while in college that he should never have been drafted... he should have been in prison. Pouncey is the same type of thug; otherwise he wouldn't be close friends with Hernandez.
I realize that you can't fill a team with "choir boys", but there should be some sort of character standard to uphold.
