This cornerback situation is getting a bit rediculous!

Pat white will enable us to outscore Marshawn Lynch and TO, Brady and the plethora of wide outs they have oh yeah and Fred Taylor, Andre Johnson Steve Slaton ect ect ect?????..... If pat white was that good he would be the #1 overall pick... Pat white will last no further than the 2nd week in training camp cause he will be lit up by Y.Bell when he attempts to catch a ball over the middle.. Pat white is about 100 pounds soaking wet... that guy sucks
How is it that Shawn Springs who turns 34 today, can sign a incentive laden contract for 3 years 13 mil and Bodden who will be 28 in September, signs a vet minimum contract (750k). Yes, he had a bad year but they say it was because of the scheme (cover2) and he is best in man coverage.
It seems like it would be the other way around. Oh well.
Springs is a great cornerback when healthy but he has had many injury problems.
The fact that we passed on Bodden when he was only asking for league minimum shows that we will probably not sign a CB in FA to start this year. Hope you all like Jason Allen.

Let's grab him! Clearly the Trifecta expected more CBs to become available. They didn't feel Bodden or Springs were worth the money.
I figure we will draft at least 2 CBs in April and probably bring in a couple more undrafted RFAs (as training camp fodder), but I can't believe that we will not bring in any UFAs to compete and help mentor the newbies.
If someone such as Surtain or McAlister were willing to come in for a low base/incentive laden deal for a year or two to prove they are still good players, why wouldn't we look to do that? Under those circumstances, if they didn't pan out, we just cut them and have a minimal cap hit.
I heard that Bodden only signed for the league minimum because he wanted to be a Patriot and he was giving them a big discount. He was seeking more money from other teams.
