I think there is a little truth to all of the different stories that are out.. I don't think one story has all of the truth on either side of what is being reported.. Was Incognito being an arrogant ass, probably.. Was Incognito taking it to far, probably... Was Martin down in the dumps because of his play, demotion, signing of Mckinney and 4 game losing streak, most likely.. Does Martin probably have some other issues wit his mental health, probably..
Did incognito's action warrant, a guy, freaking out and walking out on the team, probably not... It is not a black or white issue in my opinion...
What bothers me is the lack of leadership from other teammates to either stand up for Martin, or be an ear or shoulder to lean on, for him to vent his frustrations in what was obviously a difficult time for the guy... I think the loss of leaders like Long, Bush and Fasano are showing in this locker room mess....

I think one thing is black and white in all of this:
Barring mental health issues that he needs to leave the team to address, or threats of physical violence from a teammate, Martin should be at work.
At the end of the day we clearly don't have all the information on this story, but there are very very few scenarios where Martin's handling of this situation makes him look good...even a little.
The happiest guy on the team... Pouncey.. Because now everybody is talking about this nonsense, while his subpoena in regards to the Aaron Hernandez case, is pretty much getting zero press... Maybe Pouncey masterminded all of this from his seat in the Oline room monday...hahahaha...

What a humongous vaginal cavity, and how in the hell did Ireland not unearth that this guy is soft as baby shit in the pre-draft process? And how in the hell did they let Jake Long walk OR not make a better attempt to replace him? (Branden Albert) This is a complete and utter failure on Ireland/Philbin.
Congratulations J-Mart, you will be the vag known as the guy that forever changed the way guys bust each other balls in the NFL locker-room. If this isn't some sort of mental illness, as a fan, I don't want this guy back on my team.
Well, holic. Please let us in on the facts. Everyone else has stated an opinion but based on the premise that they don't know the facts "but if the facts are this then I think that."
But you have made a final judgement based on the facts so tell us what those true facts are. Don't hog them all to yourself.
Don't have the facts, have enough though to say J-Mart is a huge vaginal cavity and Ireland should of spotted it before drafting him, and if that was missed the coaches should of spotted it during last year (see, Chyren, some of us actually know this is not his rookie year), how in the hell can a grown man as big as he is, claim Incog "made him" cough up $15,000 dollars? That would be called strong armed robbery no?

Oh Holic, how clever of you to point out that one misstatement that Martin was a rookie last year and a second year player this year. Congrats!
This changes my whole argument that he should have taken it as a COMPLIMENT that he was being asked to change positions and not McKinnie.
And of course I was ATTACKING MARTIN when I said that but since your only mission is to attack me, then you seize on that point even though it was on the same side of the issue as you but that latter thing is really not important.
You WISH, holic! LOL. On both counts, getting under my skin and being a bully! You were probably bullied yourself. They call it a "victim-oppressor complex" like what led some Concentration camp Jews to admire the Nazis.
they brought mckinnie in to replace martin at LT because Martin was a horrible LT. McKinnie never played RT in all his life so asking him to switch was not an option. Martin did play RT last year so they asked him to move over to replace Clabo who was historically awful. I don't take these facts as a compliment to Martin. More a statement on how they felt McKinnie on 2 days practice could play better than Martin at LT, and how they felt Martin was at least marginally better than the terrible Clabo at RT

someone better at math than me tell me that 15k for a guy making 1mm is the same as what for a guy making 75k. Without actually doing the calculation this seems like about what someone collects in the office for a co-workers birthday. Like $100 or so. (I went to law school b/c I sucked at math.)

To me it isn't about the money, it is the fact that Martin wasn't singled out to give Incognito $15,000... It is something that all rookies do and Incognito himself most likely did when he was a rookie as well... It is the system and culture all over the NFL and not just on the Dolphins, nor Incognito being a rogue offender singling out Martin as the media would like it portrayed when it was reported... They gave it zero reference of the situation or context, just used it to black eye Richie when their own story was turning against them...

Berk, I feel you on the math thing, same here, but although I have repeatedly said that the facts have not come out enough to the satisfaction of a lawyer making a judgement, I tend to just have a feeling..,,just a feeling that the paying the check thing is probably the least LIKELY of the scenarios but on the other hand the scenario that would be better "politically" for all parties involved, Martin, the pranksters, the team, the NFLPA and the NFL.
A mental breakdown not be good for Martin or his future.
Martin reacting like a crybaby would not be good for his future.
Persistent bullying would be bad for the team and leave the players' assoc. in a "no win" situation.

Sounds like the actions of a bully to me. Now he is bullying Adam Shefter? WOW..he must really be tough.
If it looks like a bully, acts like a bully and smells like a bully....
I have no doubt that Incognito is a "bully" in the sense that he is a mean jerk. It's Martin's reaction that I can't fathom here. Deal with it yourself or if you can't then speak to the coaches. Don't run home to mommy and daddy and file a formal complaint with the league. This is how people today deal with things I guess....
