There should be an "other" tab. Because I think Larry English and Aaron Maybin have a good a chance being a Miami Dolphin as any of those guys wou have on that list.
It was great to see so many votes for Laurenitis, because I think we need a great ILB. But I think the first pick may be OLB, and there are a lot of guys...lately I've been thinking that Larry English is going to be our pick.
It all depends on who we pick up (and lose) before the draft. We need more time, and as that develops, we'll know who to zero in on.
Heck, I'd trade the #25 pick for Boldin. They won't take anything less and if they do their stupid! There are no sure fire picks in the draft, let alone the 25th pick. Boldin is a lock to come in and produce big numbers and help your team right away. The odds of getting that with the 25th pick in the draft are much lower. You even have a chance of that plyer being a bust. You don't get that with Boldin! He's a sure thing!
sure, boldin is a sure thing, but looking at his career stats he's not an upper echelon receiver. pairing him with ginn could be nice, but id much rather address our defense with the 1st pick. Our line backing corps, outside of porter sucks.

I wanted Jake Long pretty early last year, and pushed for him even though only 2 mocks out of a bunch chose him. Then Jake moved up the mocks and the rest is history.
However...in retrospect I think I was wrong. We would have been smarter to pick Matt Ryan. Not that I'm unhappy with Jake...he's our cornerstone for years to come, and who knows if Ryan would have gotten hurt with our crappy line.
For now my favorite is Laurentis. We'll see how that works out. 25 is a different animal than #1 for sure, and it's basically going to be "who's left" for us at that point. I gotta believe you go for the premimum player that's left. Who knows, that could end up being a safety, which we also need.

Oh man! If we can get the next Ray Lewis at 25, I'll just freak! BP has been a pretty good judge of LB's before. I'm excited to see what he'll do in this draft.
That's just a friggen brilliant come back Monti. Do you want to talk football, or do you just want to whine?
Yea, I preferred Gholston over Chris Long - and I stand by that. Gholston will be better than Chris "My Daddy's a Probowler, get me a sponsor" Long. But I preferred Jake over both. You want to take what I said in a thread about Chris Long out of context. Its getting old, and you are still smarting about me calling the 11-5 seasons. and all I gotta say is "whatever dude".
As for this list - I don't think any of these players are getting picked. They will either be gone, or a poor value for the position. That is what happens when you limit your list to almost entirely LBs. Its a bad list, and so I pick none of the above.
Yeah..I think there were several players left off of that list....
Clint Sintim
Aaron Maybin
Tyson Jackson
Sean Smith
Peria Jerry
Larry English
Percy Harvin
DJ Moore
Alphonso Smith
Max Unger
Eric Wood
Darrius Heyward-Bey
Brandon Pettigrew
Coy Francis
Patrick Chung
Rashad Johnson
Louis Delmas
Derek Pegues
William Moore
Jarius Byrd
Basically there are a ton pf players that Ireland could get enamored with and we will take the best available player.
It could be anyone at this point. The combine should clear things up a bit.
