Joe Philbin is new Dolphins coach per leagues sources on @NFL32
wow! big shock, supposedly mccoy was in the bag.I don't know if I like this or not, but at least he's come from a winning background. Maybe now we get flynn?

I think the fact that Joe will bring a west coast offense and a potential Franchise QB is the best thing about this hire. If we can get Flynn it will cost us big $$. However I think it is the better option than trading a crap ton of draft picks plus big bucks for 1 of the top 2 QB's in the draft. I am satisfied with this hire.

It isn't doubtless, but I wouldn't be surprised. Actually it is a plan that makes sense to me and I have visualized on more than one occasion. Philbin's tie to Flynn intrigued me. I am not sure if Flynn is the real deal, but I would hope that Philbin would know. If we signed him, I would have some confidence for that reason. I have suspected that the Phins were not only interviewing Bowles for the HC, but for the DC too. He knows the system and it would explain why they led Nolan go. Finally, Riley Reiff seems to be the consensus mock draft pick for us. He definitely fits a position of need.
Disagree 1976. If we could possibly trade up for Luck or RGIII, I'd do it rather than to rely on someone who has proven nothing in either college or pro.
I dont think we take Flynn, if the price is to high or unless Philbin knows he is on point... I think Flynn and RG3 are players in the game.... If we dont go after Flynn, it should tell you alot... If we do that should tell you alot... THis coach would be risking his career on it... I am not sure either way other then we probably have the best insight into whether Matt Flynn is the real deal, and shouldnt make a mistake on it.... Which I like alot...
It is really not worth debating, if Flynn is the real deal we will get him, if he is not we will not... No mistakes, that is all I care about... Who knows how this will play out... Miami and Ireland if nothing else, proven to not be predictable with their front office moves...
Just don't be too disappointed when it doesn't happen and if it does, don't be disappointed when the results are not what you want.
I'm mystified. Henne had a couple of years, the first where he sat on the bench and the second where he had a rough time. Then at the start of his third year, he showed progress but got hurt early.
Moore has bounced around and didn't have much of a chance at Carolina but when he settled down and played for us after Henne got hurt, he wasn't that bad.
Would I pass on Luck or RG III for Moore? Hell No!
But don't you see what YOU'RE doing?
You are, in effect, taking Flynn who is basically Matt Moore before Henne got hurt and just because his name is neither Henne or Moore, assuming that he will come in and be better than they were after they (Henne and Moore) went through their growing pains.
And I know what's going to happen! Flynn will get knocked around, pressured, throw interceptions and will go through that same "breaking in" process that led you to say that Henne and Moore suck.
Then you guys will be saying "Flynn sucks" let's "Suck for Barkley" and the whole thing will go over and over and over and over again.
We already have a BACK-UP QUARTERBACK STARTING FOR US, We don't need another one.
People are not saying they don't want Luck or RG3. They are simply saying that we're not one player away from a superbowl, and if we can get Flynn without cashing in our entire draft, it might be better than selling the farm for Luck or RG3.
