Absolutely nuts, the sad and unfortunate thing is, we should be 5-1.

We should be 5-1 those OT losses hurt big time, esp to the Jets

And not in the cellar like most predicted. By consensus prediction NE would be 6-0 right now, Buffalo 5-1, Jets 4-2 and Miami 0-6. We were supposed to be picking in the top 5 for next years draft.

Looks like Cleveland or KC may be picking number 1...as Holmgren finally gets fired. The Chiefs just (yesterday) offered Pioli a two year extension. WTH?

You play to win the game. Hello!

Sure, we should have won the Jets game, maybe even the Cards game, but by that same "should have" mentality, we should have LOST to the Rams.

Maybe should be 4-2 at best.

Or last place. Guess it depends on whether the glass is half empty or half full.

Shouda, woulda, coulda...

We are 3-3 team. If the QB had more experience or the kicker another 10 yards, we may have won a few more. But that is not the case.

The team is young, and learning a new system. Maybe better in a year or two, but now the record reflects the level of the team accurately.

For now, I'm happy - this puts the team in a good position.... one it hasn't been in for years.

Miami Dolphins. Always Perfect.

That honor would go to the Bills. There are 4 teams in the division remember? They are 0-2 in the division and we are 0-1.

This season kind of did a flip flop. The teams thought to be tough are not and visa versa.

From here on out we face...

@ NYJ 3-3
@ Colts 2-3
Ten 2-4
@ Buf 3-3
Sea 4-2
NE 3-3
@ SF 4-2
Jax 1-4
Buf 3-3
@ NE 3-3

2 teams with a winning record through week 6 and they are all winable games for us. 5 division games out of 10.

@ SF will be a TOUGH road game. Historically we don't seem to do well when traveling to the west coast but this is a differently run team.

I think our record is about where we should be. But more important we are seeing very positive signs that:

1) Thill is a legit NFL coitusback and has franchise coitusback potential.

2) Philbin & Company are a HUGE UPGRADE and the best coaching staff we've had since the Arns and Shula daze.

3) Ireland seems to be ramping up his GM game and hit on a LOT of talent this past draft.

Note: the excellent coaching staff is also proving highly capable of developing talent with dudes like Carroll, Misi, Jerry, and Jones emerging.

If you put it all together it certainly looks like we've got a VERY POSITIVE vector established for the future -- coupled with the fact we have a multiple picks (R2 R3 R4 R6) this coming draft. .

So like I said before, there's a collaborative relationship between the FO and the coaching staff and we may have finally put the right pieces in place to build a CONSISTENT winner!!!

But yea, it's still one game at a time. And there's a lot to be done still.

Yet... ya gotta love Philbin, and ya gotta love Thill. HC + QB = NFL success.

BNF.

Pretty much what I figured would happen, which is why I put no value in preseason rankings.

If they told me we would go into the bye been tied into first place and been in position to have a chance of making the playoffs i would not had believed it.

And to think we had a chance of winning 2 more games. So close.

Add that we are starting a rookie QB. This MAY have been feasible with Garrard, but no one expected this from Tanny!

That came to my mind a few times, that we should had expected to be at this stage with a healthy gerard.....but not with tannehill. Its great that it turned out this way.

Gerard was at the end of his career anyways.

Speaking of Gararrd...I can't believe KC has not gone after him. He is twice the QB of Cassel and Brady Quinn.

Actually I can think of a couple teams that could use him as an upgrade.

KC, Buffalo, Ten, Jax, Oak, AZ...

If we had drafted Quinn, I doubt he'd still be on our team.

I wish we'd re-sign Garrard and trade Moore to a QB needy team with ties to him, KC or the Jets come to mind.

Technically, we can still do this.
