WIth all of this Suck for Luck talk all over this website, I thought I might look over the numbers of other Qb's who are playing on the level of Chad Henne this year, and wondering what other fans message boards might be screaming for their team to quit and to SUck for Luck like so many lost souls around here are begging for... And guess who has the higher QB rating between Chad Henne and the guy who many of you believe we should have drafted to save our franchise rather then Jake Long. That is right Chad Henne does, so by the twisted logic of many around here, I guess the Atlanta Falcons should suck for luck, just as much as The Miami Dolphins should after week 3.. Since Miami has the better rated QB this season thus far.. Do you think Atlanta will dump Matt Ryan and go after Andrew Luck also?

Yes i know.
But numbers do not mean a thing for henne when he continually pees on my cornflakes every time the game is on the line. One and a half minutes left...1st down on the 50 yard line...we need field goal to win game by 2 points ..Pass is on the way....soon to be intercepted.
C'Mon Crowder, be for real, who would you rather have on this team, Henne or Ryan?......I thought so. Stupid comparison and you know it. And for the record, I'm not advocating to purposely "suck for Luck", but if we have the opportunity to get one of the elite QBs in next years draft and don't, it might push me over the edge as far as being a die hard fan.

Good point. And to think Matt Ryan has Roddy White, Tony Gonzales, Micheal Turner and traded away first rd picks to acquire Julio Jones, one of the hottest offensive weapons to come out last year. And to think with all of that Chad Henne still has a better QB rating, in the new more accurate QB rating system then a guy you all consider a top or elite franchise QB. I think the blame is very misdirected around here. Chad Henne has developed and is still developing into a good NFL QB, maybe even great one day.
Ok, whatever you guys want to say to beat around the bush, but the fact still remains he has a higher QB rating then Matt Ryan this year.... Our MLB suck horribly, and had our defense played halfway decent football this year, everyone would be on the loving Chad Henne bandwagon, but somehow the failure of the defense, has created this misguided blame of the failure of this team on Chad Henne. For that I just SMH at you guys. It is hard to take serious, when you dont seem to be evaluating or watching the same games as me. In a 3-4 defense where the MLB are the key to success, we have the 48-49 ranked MLB's as our starters... Channing at his worst even with injuries was still ranked 18th last year... SO you guys be the judge...
But somehow SUcking for Luck, and ignoring reality is going to miraculously turn this team around next year... Right and I got a brdige and some majic beans to sell you also...

Absolute. Precise. Undisputable.
Only the alpha draconians would consider an alternative. And then
after a nano second they’d come to their senses.
Yea, let’s trade Henne straight-up for Matty. Do it Ireland. Prove you’re worth something. Heck, through in that young rising star G you recently drafted. What’s his name? Oh yea, John “Ben &” Jerry. How could Atlanta resist.
BNF- you dont find it ironic as well as undisputable, absolute and precise that Chad Henne has a higher QB rating then Matt Ryan, and still half the people in this poll, would rather lie to themselves then accept the precise, undisputable, absolute reality that Chad Henne's QB rating is better this season then Matt Ryan.
Who has the the higher completion percentage this season?
Ryan 60.7
Henne 56.5
1st downs?
Ryan 46
Henne 40
This is Henne's 1st season to have a higher than 75.4 QB rating.
Ryan has had a rating of over 80 his entire 4 seasons.
I would take Ryan's worst season ever over Henne's best in a heartbeat. And so would the rest of the logical people in the world of football. I guess that excludes you? :-P

One of our fellow members (Crowder52) has gone amok.
We're trying to give him some self aid buddy care to rescue him from the depths of irrationality that this current franchise is causing him to have - laughter seems to be a possible cure. Your contribution is duly noted and welcome!

I would like to quote Mark Twain. There are 3 types of lies: (1) Lies, (2) Damn lies and (3) Statistics.
You can make statistics say just about anything you want. Do you think Atlanta would agree today to a straight up trade: Henne for Ryan? Do you think the Dolphins would today?
