The only problem I see in what you said, dolfanmark, "we have not thrown TDs to WRs in the endzone for years" is.... If you recall, Marshall dropped at least five of them in the endzone last year. Where would Miami have gone if he had caught those passes?

Agreed, Treasure. But, Ireland/Philbin have to make some exceptionally smart decisions this off season to continue the growth of the Miami Dolphins. Don't get the right guy(s) in FA or the draft, it will be another long season with Ireland getting fired at the end of the 2013 season, and possibly seeing Philbin leave. If they make the right decisions, and especially is Ireland (final

I don't know guys. I don't recall anyone here saying Philbin is a saint and can do no wrong. He is a first year head coach who is doing his best, and he is also learning as he goes. He has a good coaching staff around him and after this season can sit down and not only look at the players, but also themselves. Philbin doesn't seem, to me, like a guy who gets shaken very easily. I don

True, the Fins beat the Jags (ho hum) and not in a dominating fashion, either. Granted, the Jags are one of the worst, if not the worst, teams in the NFL. Sure, the majority of NFL QBs have put up big numbers against them. This thread said what Tanney did -- 123.2 passer rating. People here say, "Big deal. Everybody does that." Well, according to an article I read this AM, R

What Hartline accomplished is great, however..... One TD out of all that; not good! As I said, his 1,000 yard season (with 2 more games to go) is great, but Miami needs a receiver that can get into the end zone. His contract is up after this season -- I say resign him to a good contract. Don't get crazy on the numbers, although I believe Ireland will not sign him for the big bucks, an

Isn't the Ravens' offense one of the higher scoring teams in the NFL? From what I have seen, it is the defense that is losing games for them, not the offense.

2576. Next Year
The fins have no shot at the playoffs. Most of us on this board (IMO) would then turn to some of the younger players and get them on the field to see if they have anything to offer for next season. Philbin, supposedly, isn't thinking like that. He is going to continue playing his starters, he says, and not be concerned with the guys who have not been playing. I realize he still wants to w
