Another excellent drive and a run to the left side for a TD. Yes, yes, yes. Looking good, huh TC!

Excellent drive down the field for TD and extra point. Good long pass started this drive off with a bang. Keep it up. Colonel

The Dolphins this Sunday have made the long flight to SF to disrupt the 49ers and play havoc with Jimmy Garoppolo's offense. It time for the Dolphins's secondary to come alive, play together as a unit, understand coverages and take it to the 49ers in SF (2-2). Yes, we can do this! The Dolphins have talent and it's time they get traction on offense and defense. Garoppolo has been out since

TSStamper--it's about synchronization. I think you nailed it. Practice and on field play and post game review will help get the players on the same coverage play. Look for fewer coverage mistakes each game and that will be evidence that things are coming together. Look for improvement this week against the 49ers. If we can score some TDs we might just beat them.

TC, I agree that Iggy should be better than he is showing...no question about that. While not stated earlier (above) I don't wonder about his physical ability, but wonder about his football smarts, his awareness. That may be his real problem and if it's very low, no amount of work will improve it to match his draft rank. We need to see how he progresses. He needs tutoring!!!

Competition at the professional level is far greater than what college players see and experience even against the best opponents. Iggy as he is being called for short, is not matching up well at the moment. He's like a puppy chasing a ball that's thrown in the back yard. He knows a ball is being thrown but has to wait for it to bounce a few times before he gets it. With experience that same pupp

With 5 field goals instead of TDs, one has to wonder whether it's plays being called that are failing from the start because they are bad plays or whether they are good plays with miserable execution that causes them to fail. Clearly, nothing is a sure thing and lots of teams have difficulty once they get to the 20 or inside it close to the end zone, yet we, the Dolphins seem to show a lack o

Well, no celebration today. We had chances and just couldn't do it. Secondary is still showing inexperience although the O-line looks like it is coming around. RB #34 Howard had few touches and he doesn't seem to be close to what was expected of him. What was key to this game IMO was Russell Wilson. He's an elite QB and is quite capable of carrying his team to victory. He's very capable of

Howard picks off Russell in the end zone stopping Seattle cold. Great play. Now we can get back into this ball game. Go Dolphins!!!

Damn--it was close at 10-9 going with seconds left before half time. Secondary screw up allows BIG passing play and sets thing up for a Seattle TD. Receiver was uncovered. Big mistake; Wilson found his receiver and is still saying " I can't believe how open your were" to his receiver. Half time now and I hope we can regain composure and strike back with some good offensive play

Brieda run was good; Parker moves the chains some more and we get 3 more points. Still in the game. Fitzpatrick trying hard to thread the needle and is getting close to being picked off again. He needs to find the open receiver, IMO, and they exist.

Couple of things: The field looks like crap. With all the rain we've had, why does it look so dry and patchy. Parker: He continues to be injury prone. Losing him will make it difficult for the offense to click. If he comes back to play he will not be close to being able to get free of his defender. Fitzpatrick seems to have a weak throw this week...at this point in the game. Gettin

The Mariners make the long trek to South Florida to engage the Dolphins on a wet field of play. The Mariners are a good team and the Dolphins will be tested everywhere. Each week the Dolphins have showed a few degrees of improvement and I do expect the same this week but will it be enough for the team to hang with the Mariners? The challenge is there. How far will the Dolphins step up to meet

Okay, guys, let's leave Tannehill out of the current Dolphins play. Nothing to be gained by dragging that crap into any conversation. Let's support the current Dolphins team and watch them get their footing. After 10 games or so, fans like us should have a good idea on position play that is way off the mark. Look for improvement each game against opponents with their own play problems. It

Samsam, why in the world are you already thinking about the NFL draft in 2021? There's a lot of football left in 2020. Many things can happen, good, bad, or somewhere in between.

Howard intercepts and stops a good drive by the Jaguars. Now less than 2 minutes left and we are going to win this one. Conservative play during the 2nd half--not what I like to see, but there were no critical mistakes made that cost us points so that is good. Nice turn around from last Sunday. Fun for a change!

Fitzpatrick runs it in for another 6. We now lead by 21. For the first time in a long time, I am really enjoying a football game. Defense is getting things together. Very happy to see that. Go Dolphins!!

We are doing pretty well compared to the past two weeks. Very pleased to see how things are coming together. As the half expires, we are up 21-7.

It's already Wednesday and I'm thinking about the adjustments needed to improve the secondary. The big question is how the coaches will play Howard since B. Jones is out. Will McCain play a different role? The second defensive issue pertains to the D line and how they can mount more QB pressure. What defensive scheme will allow them to get more QB sacks? There have only been 2 sack in 2 games

Fitzpatrick did enough for us to win. Williams had a catch in the end zone for a TD and dropped it--right through his hands. No, it's not the QB play at the moment. It's the secondary that is grossly deficient followed by an inadequate pass rush. 524 yards of Bills total offense. 400 yards of catch and run.

IMO, the step or two off or out of synch, is probably attributable to being uncomfortable with themselves in what they can do or can't do, and that falls under confidence. If they think they can't cover 1 on 1, then they won't do well. If they aren't mentally on the same approach to defense as their coach has laid out, that too is a confidence problem with the coaches game plan. Having trust in t

The secondary, supposed to be good, maybe good, but they still look pretty rag-tag to me Allen was laying the ball just right and his receivers were getting space to catch the ball. Weak coverage. Plenty of work needed to get our secondary players in the game mentally. They appear to be a step or two off...could be a lack of playing time, general experience and lack of confidence to be more fl

Sanders kicks a 52 yard field goal as we go into half-time. Let's hope adjustments are made offensively and defensively so we can be competitive. We are still in the game....

Coverage watching now by me. That's the only coverage worth mentioning as the Dolphins can't seem to cover receivers. Defensive play is haphazard, very uncoordinated effort IMO. I know it's still early in the season but golly these guys up front don't seem to be with the program, offense or defense. Maybe better and some adjustments at half time. Maybe....
