i agree but tannehill should have had legit competition each year. so we're in year 7 trying to build around they guy and if he fails this year it seems like a wasted 7 years. the stats i posted earlier were from chad henne. comparable to tanne's streak. we tried adding pieces for him too and it didn't work. when you don't have legit competition or a backup plan for the most important pl

You guys may want to take a closer look at this "magical" 6 game streak. Take a look at the competition, the horrible starts and why we had to come from behind, and ajayi's contributions in those games. Tannehill was very pedestrian. Hanging your hat on 6 games against bad teams in his 5th year isn't the best argument. We've tried upgrading the talent around T-hill but have

They aren't trading tannehill after restructuring his contract. The cap hit is prohibitive.

the problem is we weren't willing to pay our own guy 15mm/year. I agree, that shouldn't be allotted to the slot wr but don't go out and spend the same money trying fill the hole you created. that 16mm we saved on jarvis could have gone to an LB, TE, or OL...three glaring holes we've had for a decade. A quality TE takes away 30-40% of landry's targets. and spare me "we're bringing i

landry was seeking 14.5 per year so we traded him. at that point, if they couldn't afford him they should have promoted caroo, isaiah ford, rashawn scott or drafted one in the late rounds. instead we spent 14mm/year for 2 less productive wrs. that money could have been spent on norwell. this team creates holes and spends years trying to fill them. enough is enough.

what is it with this team? we pissed away 3 picks to get caroo and don't give him a chance. we have guys we ir'ed last year as undrafted FAs. give them a chance. we're not a slot wr away from contention. so what happens if parker finally breaks out this year? Do we tie up even more money on wrs? We have zero plan. look at what beane and mcdermott are doing with the bills. they have a

I'm with you Fins72. I didn't like that hire from the beginning and am not surprised he's completely blown the cap up. 6-10 and 20mm over the cap isn't a sign of good things to come. My only hope is it bottoms out this year and Ross finally talks Harbaugh into taking over. If that were to happen I hope he fire everyone and let Harbaugh bring in his own people.

They should be trying to trade these guys before they cut them and tannehill should be added to that list. If the bills can get a 3rd for tyrod we should at least get a 2nd for tannehill.

we're justifying giving 12mm to another teams castoff yet can't give or best WR, that we drafted, 14mm. Brilliant!

So trading for an injury prone de on the decline is ok at 12mm/yr but we can't keep the wr we drafted for 14? We're building our team a$$ backwards. We use the draft as FA and vice versa. What happened to drafting and resigning your own? Use fa to fill gaps. We create more holes than we fill each year. This team is in dire need of a complete rebuild and it begins in the FO. Get rid of

i've already chalked this up to a wasted offseason. let the clown show do their thing to speed up their eventual exit. I look forward to the harbaugh regime in '19.

How is Josh Allen arguably the best QB in the draft? His 56 completion percentage against horrible competition? His 52.6 QBR? His poor accuracy? For someone who bashes tannehill every chance he gets you're pimping his clone as "the best qb prospect in the draft" At least you didn't draw attention with a stupid thread title. Oh wait...

QB is the most important position on the team. Heading into his 7th season tannehill is still average at best. You can build a steel fortress as the oline and our ceiling would still be 11 wins and that's if everything goes our way. If Mayfield is that at 11 they'd be fools not to take him. He doesn't need to learn how to play the position, he needs to learn the plays. Tannehill is stil

Because we have dead coach walking. No one with any experience is going to hitch their wagon to this loser now. Doug Pederson, first time HC, surrounded himself with experienced coords. Coords with HC experience. Sean McVay, fist timer, hired a DC with HC experience. They're both in the playoffs. Our first time HC thinks he's smarter than everyone in the room. He surrounded himself

gase is in over his head. 2018 will be another wasted season. this is what you get with young first timers. picking your staff from the bottom of the barrel.

Fales is nothing but a 3rd stringer in this league and you don't use a game with playoff implications to find that out. What Gase did was inexcusable and fireable if you ask me. He rolled over for a division opponent and singlehandedly gave them a playoff berth. And he did it in front of the home fans. He treated this game as a preseason game. Did the fans pay to see a preseason game? D

...and I think there's a huge disconnect between the front office and coaching staff. We drafted to press man corners only to see the staff force them into a zone scheme. When they did play man Howard looked like a lock down corner against NE. Problem is Burke went right back to zone against Buff and KC.

I think the majority of the problem on defense is coaching. Burke questioned reporters when asked about Kiko getting beat all year by TEs. "Who should cover them" was his response. Well, coach, that's your job and if Kiko is getting torched over and over maybe you should change up your approach. They've invested a lot of FA $$ and picks on that side of the ball. If the Browns c

Mayfield or not the point is we already have a "developmental" guy earmarked as the starter in 18. When drafted 8th overall the team should know what it has entering his 6th season as the undisputed starter. We need to use a pick in the first 3 rounds to compete with Tannehill. We are where we are because we haven't done that the last 3 years.

You take one in the 2nd or 3rd to compete with Tannehill. He's 30, coming off a major knee injury, and is still an unknown.

Hard to say if you have anything wrong because the rule is so convoluted. There's something about "completing the act" of the catch and "football move". To me he completed the catch when his knee hit the ground and then he reached for the end zone. Another thing. His right hand looks to be under the ball the entire time so even if it moved it didn't hit the ground.
