I caught some youtube video from the game and liked what I saw. There was improvement from Jackson as he did a better job of planting his feet and mirroring his man. Kept his assignments quiet most of the game, both were 2 rookie 5th round picks. He still totally whiffed on a play but Tua got the ball out. We are lucky that Tua is a lefty. Jackson also looked strong in the run game. I think he wi

I agree regarding the coaching. When I see a guy like Jackson making the same mistakes like bad feet, no consistent punching, just totally missing an assignment each game that is on the coaches. It appears that a guy that has IT like (Hunt) is ok. If you don't have it this coaching staff accepts whatever you bring. Again Flores, IMO has to decide if good is enough or does he want this team to be

Tua's our starting QB case closed. If Brissett were a starting nfl qb he would not be here. I hear Dan Campbell fired his strength & conditioning coach in DET. Phins should take note. I understand Campbells msg was you were supposed to take care of my players and you are not.

Tua should not have thrown that pass to begin with. 1st and 10, drop back makes quick reads WRs are covered, back looks open but he is not, double coverage in the end zone. Throw it away! Stupid int this is not college.
Saying that we did have 4 of our top WRs inactive on yesterday so all things considered he was not bad but one play like that can cost us a game. Just cannot walk away from the

Our first team was better than CHI's first team.
Tua looks ready. That was an awful int he just cannot do that. The db did appear to want the pass more than Shaheen.
I liked what I saw from Dieter at center.
I hope they consider flipping Hunt (back to RT) and Davis (to G).
Good to see Bowden make some catches had not read much of him lately.
Bissett looks like the ideal backup.

Front office has improved a team that the words stunk and sucked were to complementary to describe them. Howard's situation will be corrected, we give him the money or we trade him either way we go forward. Howard has always given 100% on the field that has always been his nature. Guys rarely move away from who they are in any discipline.

QBs stunk that draft and we found out in the second round by drafting Beck. We should have gone defense at #9 Willis, Reyes, Timmons and several safties were there. Marshawn Lynch and Greg Olsen were both there. Front offense was totally incompetent in those days.
Good for him having the career he did away from the Phins, wasn't his fault that we were stupid.

Contracts are not worth a damn in today's nfl and player's realize that and they had better. When they are performing at the top levels at their position they should demand to be paid the market value. I would.
Teams screw players with contracts all of the time:
Ask Jamison Crowder Jets had money and were among the top 5 teams with spending money but they forced him to renegotiate his 2021

Doaks plays like Malcom Brown. Runs w/ good vision for a power back. I like the Coleman pick too. We got good players, did not grab a centers or the big name rb but I like what they did here. We did not have picks in rnds 4-6 so we should have some cash for the UDAs.

Waddle & Phillips are at the top of their positions in this draft. I think Holland was the best safety in the draft. I think we reached on Eichenberg so what the hell. He is ready to play at RT, Hunt slides to guard and Davis joins Fluker to give us quality depth on the line.
I like Skura just hope he is healthy. There were players on the board in round 3 I would have rather had than Long bu

Holland is a good pick I like him better than Moehrig. The Eichenberg pick puzzles me. He is a damn good tackle but I would rather we had taken Creed Humphrey. Musical chairs on the oline continues.

Mac Jones reminds me of AJ McCarron
I cannot remember a draft that has been deeper at T, WR, and RB than this one. I think there will be receivers drafted in the 7th round that will be contributors on teams 3-4 years in the future. With that Im not for drafting those positions in rounds 1 and 2 this year.
Im so hooked on Pitts that I would trade our #32 to ATL for the #4. ATL should buy becau

I think we hold at 6. I think Pitts, Chase and Sewell were the 3 non qbs worthy of the #3 pick and right now I think Pitts (ATL) and Chase (CIN) will be gone when we pick. With that I would bring in Sewell at 6. I still want to bring in the value at #6 that we would have gotten at #3. I would consider trading down the #18 but I would hold the #6.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Im thinking they have their eyes on Pitts. CIN can not afford to pass on Sewell so Pitts or Chase should be their for us. Im for grabbing Etienne at 18 get the best receiver and rb in the same draft is rarely done. We should grab the opportunity. Solidify the OLine w/ Vera Tucker who can play both tackle and guard spots.
1 Pitts TE UF
1 Etienne RB CLEM
2 Vera-Tucker T USC
2 Mose

Im waiting to see what Tua does after going thru a full camp. He has talent but played w/ uncertainty last year which is understandable him being new to the system.
Another player Im looking forward to seeing again is Austin Jackson. I based a lot of my opinion of him on a video of him playing against Espenesa in the 2019 Holiday Bowl. The video was pro Espenesa. I took a look at the entire g

Your draft sounds a bit like mine. I have Chase a #3, Owusu-Koru?? at #18 and Williams with our second second rounder. I too think we should take a QB but would rather have Mills (STAN) over Monds.
1 Chase WR LSU
1 Owusu-Kora LB N DM
2 Ojulari Edg UGA
2 Williams RB NC
3 Hufanga S USC
4 Jackson OL IA
6 Bussey WR HA
6 Mills QB STAN

Some in the press are complaining about our off season moves but I like them. Good backup QB, a solid mlb, good rb, potential depth at OT & DLine, special team players. All fill positions of need, plus we did not overpay and prevents us from reaching in the draft. Im glad Karras is gone it forces us to upgrade at center. Wish they would release McCain and Grant and upgrade their positions.

Good pickup, kid was a helluva RT at UGA. I hope he is ready to play football. If not, it cost us very little, if it does wow.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Pitts is my pick at #3 right now. I think he would be more valuable than a WR. I would still pick Bateman (WR) at #18.

BUF showed us that they are the dominant team in the AFC east that last game. It was a reality check. Front office cannot allow this team to stay behind the Bills the next 2/3 years. Getting Watson, should it happen would put us ahead of the Bills. If acquiring Watson is behind this.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Van Ginkel is ready to step up. Biegel is coming back. We should have that position covered. NFL is a cold business these days.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Regarding Watson we should put our cards on the table #3, Tua, Jones and 2022 #1. We can up by giving them Howard vs Jones but I would not raise our offer any further than that.
We would still have plenty of ammo for the draft:
1 Harris RB AL
2 Bateman WR MN
2 Humphrey C OK
3 Mukuamu DB SC
4 Brown T N IA
5 Williams S SYR from HOU
6 White QB MEM
7 Jefferson RB OR ST

If we can get Watson for Tua the #3 and Jones we should do it. Qb, swap and big contract swap. Watson is tired of the incompetence in HOU. Its business Andre Johnson called playing for the organization 'a career killer'. JJ Watts is in his corner, that is enough for me.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Watson is not the only person not happy with the GM decision in HOU. It is normal in an employment situation to be irritated when you get pulled into a meeting where they say they want your input then its totally dismissed. HOU management made the big deal that they were pulling Watson in the decision making process. Watson has an impeccable reputation in HOU.
Stop telling the players they are

#3 pick, Tua and Byron Jones for Watson and a 4th round pick. We are changing OCs so a good time to change QBs.

I take PFFs ratings w/ a grain of salt. I believe we ranked 28 in rush per carry so lazy PFF rates our oline at 28. They did not consider sacks allowed (Tie 17) or total yards rushing (22) where we ranked higher than 28. Not top 10 nbr but not 28.

True but previous staff would lose to teams like that. In 2019 we went 2-5 against teams with losing records.

Some fans are acting as if we just ended a 3 win super bow run. We are ending a 20 year suck. 10-6, a qb that shows potential, what appears to be the right coach and right front office in place. Future appears to be trending in the right direction.
Buff is 3 years ahead of us in development and they kicked our a****. We still have work to do. Solidify the line and get some receivers that will

Took a look at some clips of several phins game checking out the oline. I remember why I disliked drafting Jackson. Just as he did at USC he is playing w/ out urgency, tenacity and consistency. Nastiness is totally absent from his game. One game Im thinking Flowers really stinks then I noticed another game where Davis is playing LT and Flowers is solid. I think it was the AZ game when after a scr

I liked Becton last year and I think Sewell is better. With that I like how Jackson (who I was not high on) is coming on at LT. I would like to move Hunt inside also. I would pass on Sewell as we did Becto and grab a receiver. I think there will be a good RT for us. I really like Faalele, then you have the kid from ND st and Munford frm OH st, Eichenberg NDame.
I think we should go for skill
