Some fans are acting as if we just ended a 3 win super bow run. We are ending a 20 year suck. 10-6, a qb that shows potential, what appears to be the right coach and right front office in place. Future appears to be trending in the right direction.
Buff is 3 years ahead of us in development and they kicked our a****. We still have work to do. Solidify the line and get some receivers that will hold on to the ball and are not injury prone. I still like Tua I believe he has the character to learn from his mistakes and get better.

You beat me to it. 10-6 is unbelievably positive given that the team was talked about just last year as having the worst roster in NFL history. Plus, we have the third overall pick that might net us a tackle that's talked about in the same breath as Pace, Jones, and Munoz. Another first round pick in a receiver heavy draft. Two second rounders that should get us a blue chip running back. I'd love to have made the playoffs, but I'm realistic enough to know that 10-6 was a remarkable year at this stage of the rebuild.

True but previous staff would lose to teams like that. In 2019 we went 2-5 against teams with losing records.

But we weren't. We improved. We are going in the right direction. Did you watch the zraiders game? The Chiefs? We lost that game but got close to beating the NFL super bowl champs. 56 points was surprising. I didnt think we would win, but I didn't see the defensive implosion. Nobody did. We re group and improve again.
Accountability for absolutely blowing it with last year's #5 pick.
The pick that was going to be a franchise changer for the best, and should be our GM's defining moment...and it was. Not in a good way.
There were only 2 "legitimate" QB choices at the time, being Tua or Herbert.
Chris Grier had months to evaluate and dissect every aspect of both candidates strengths and weaknesses, and got it completely WRONG, as the season has proved out.
Once again, Grier passes on Pro Bowl talent(Charles Harris over TJ Watt?), and goes after a prospect that has more question marks than proof on tape( like the 2020 Rose Bowl game for instance?).
We all see it...we all see it...
The athleticism and arm strength.
The record setting rookie-year performance.
Being the front runner for O-ROY Award.
And I'm sure Mr Ross sees it.
Now Tua may someday, with the right pieces around him, prove to be a capable NFL QB. But that's not what the aim is with a #5 over-all pick.
If I get thanked by one more Charger fan for taking Tua(like I had anything to do with it), and letting Herbert fall to them, I'm going to lose it.
I'd love to pick CG's brain to try and understand what the hell he was thinking last April when whiffed so badly with the #5 pick.
Obviously, I'll never get the chance to ask those hard questions,
but I sure as hell hope Mr. Ross and Coach Flo asks them.
This wasn't Josh Rosen bad . They won like 3 games and Rosen had 14 INTs.
TUA had no pre season . Played well
And had a lousy December with several players injured.
You guys all want 1983 Dan Marino. He stepped onto a Superbowl calibur team. If he went to a lousy team Chances are Marino would have sucked right away too .
You guys need to relax. 10-6!! Nobody here expected that.
There are some reports going around that suggest that Ross is more involved in the selection process than most of us feel comfortable with. Evidently Lamar Jackson was his choice but he was over-ruled by Gase and several others in the war room.
Seeing Jackson develop into a potent weapon deluded him into thinking that QB talent evaluation was easy or maybe a gift that he had.
It is absolutely absurd to think that Grier would risk his new job and reputation by drafting an undersized kid in a hospital gown. No, it's clear that this is the type of bone headed move that Ross would make maybe with some input from his buddy Tannenbaum.
I wanted lamar jackson and i didnt want tua...maybe i was on to something.
Now that we are stuck with tua i will give him the benefit of the doubt. Ill give him 5 years. Why not? I gave tnnehill 6 years until he was exposed here as a good for nothing.
I can tell you one thing..he had way better talent around him than tua this year.
Its easy to succeed when you have the best rb in football.

Proof please. I never said anything about him. This difference between you and I is I back everything I say. You make it up as you go along.
You said he wasnt going to be accurate...that we shouldnt draft him.you declare him no good...if you denie that you are a pathological lier.you believe your lies are true.

Ryan Tannehill was still our QB in 2018. All I said was we didn't need a QB. ANY QB. You remember things the way you want to rationalize things. Again please show me 1 post were I ever said 1 bad word about Lamar. Just 1. You cant because it doesn't exist. Only in your head. You are bordering psychotic on the whole QB thing.
Relax. Enjoy our first round pick you wanted so bad.....TUA.

Actually more 1st 2nd rounders. You are so ignorant you can't see we HAVE a 3rd pick because we gave up/traded a top lineman to get it.
