LOL. Hooligan, that's building a car. My mind just flashed back to the first factories owned by Henry Ford in the 1880's and their assembly lines. Yes, first you have to build the frame. Then put on the tires and so on and so on. But we're talking about having a car with a bad engine, bad tires, a bad alternator, a missing rear view mirror and a missing bumper. Your priority is to f

You're not making any sense, not even common sense, Treasure, let alone good sense. I'll keep putting this analogy out for the other members of the board for whom it may be too long since they heard it. The quarterback IS THE ENGINE OF THE CAR. It doesn't make sense to a) give the body a new paint job b) replace the bumpers c) upgrade the tires d) fix a leak in the radiator even... if

I'm sorry. I can't stop laughing. What is the reference to the "few days" in which I panicked???? What are the "odds" to which you are referring????

This is fantastic. It's even SCI FI fantastic. You are hoping NOT ONLY that we trade away our #13 pick but you actually HOPE that a quarterback is picked by whatever team that we make the trade with OR BEFORE OUR PICK AT 13. WOW! WOW! You brag in other posts that you are a more loyal DOLFAN than me and Sam. Yet you actually are wishing that as many quarterbacks as can be picked eit

It's so good when I've been away from the board several hours and I come back and read your posts. I chuckle SO MUCH. I was responding TO ONE OF MIZZOU'S POSTS. Go back and read it so that you will be able to make an intelligent comment. And if you STILL don't understand, Mizzou and I were bandying over whether to draft a particular QB. Mizzou said that he had heard that this QB migh

Thank you for answering in the way I intended. Yes, in other words, the reason that the top players go in the first round is that they are expected to be the best...the Mercedes and the Cadillacs. Now, even those can be lemons but like everything in life, the more you pay generally the more valuable the product. There was a thread in which I reviewed the subsequent history of the QBs in

Any quarterback and the higher the pick the more likely he is to succeed. There have been linemen busts too. Whether because of bullygate or not. There have been linebacker busts. In other words, life is life and sh*t happens. But that doesn't mean that you don't live. And living means that if you are drafting at 11, like last year, or 13, like this year, you grab the best playe

You DO know that sometimes the favorites at the race track do often lose. The fact is that you have to play the odds with the draft and everything else. You take the best player available but that can only be judged by the present. It can't be judged by the future because no one really knows what the future holds. But that doesn't mean that when an opportunity, like the first QB in th

Yahhhh!!!! THE FIRST QB to be drafted at number 13 (even the Second assuming that it is at 13) is most likely to be good. Stay away from gambling of any kind Treasure. You basically don't even understand the concept of odds. BTW....also.........if you walk in an area where a crane is moving a heavy object overhead....might not be a good thing to walk under even though the chances of

Treasure Quote: Next year grab a better QB prospect in the first round. And build that Oline. RESPONSE: Really, now. What IS this obsession you have with not getting a QB in 2019? This team is gutted. We need a defensive line, an offensive line, linebackers, secondary, running backs, receivers, and...............a quarterback of the future. Like I said, I'll bet dollars to doughnut

Ourlads is not the only draft review organization and not the only one placing Haskins as our probable pick but what the hell. You'd be mad at any QB we picked. You want 2019 to be the "We tanked for you because we still love you Tannehill" year. Doris Day.

Who on this board suggested Lock? You put the NOT in that sentence in all caps like that was a suggestion being pushed on this board. You treat any mere mention of a quarterback in the draft just like a suggestion that some other man take your girlfriend out to dinner. You freak out! There was talk in draft circles about how Tua was so small in stature that he couldn't succeed in the NF

On most draft articles, they are linking him to the Patriots. If he's gonna be the next Brady, I'd take him for that alone even if ON OUR TEAM HE ENDS UP BEING NO BETTER THAN A WOODLEY. Just to keep him away from the Patsies. Otherwise than that, I'd still take Haskins.
