You can always tell it's almost football season when Chreyn pays his Sunday Ticket! Queue up the guys who shaved some bucks off the NFL in the following messages...

I'm surprised he didn't get 32. Never liked him, probably never will.

Thanks for the insight NEFF, I was wondering why they were selecting so many offensive guys. I hope there is enough offense to overcome the defensive holes.

You may be right TCPF, but we are still calling you nuts! Ordinarily I'd be mad at us taking a RB in the 2nd round when our Defense is hurting...but I really took a hard look at Henry and have come to the conclusion that I like the idea of smashing the enemy with this living battering ram. So far 2 picks and 2 thumbs up!

we really lucked out this draft...he's got all the natural talent and this pick shows the Dolphins are willing to go BPA. Future looks good!

I'm still a believer in "the game is won in the trenches" theory. A running back of any sort is a waste on an incomplete team like the 2016 Miamians are . So many needs. If only we'd gone BPA and with a movement towards youth instead of inferior veteran cast-offs all this time , this team might have had a chance to emerge from this plague of mediocrity .

Looks like the team still has identical holes to last year. guard, lb and corner...but at least the safety spot looks ok

This team is sinking fast and I thought it was already under water . It's time to give up on hopes the Dolphins will be good until perhaps the 2019 season. Maybe Ross will keel over by then or be disenchanted by the horrible attendance and sell it to me after I win the power ball...

Great to see the LB discussion, it's been a deficit on this team for the longest time. I hope someone is added that can eventually become our "QB" on the D.

According to the NFL.com, "The SEC leads all NCAA conferences with 25 Pro Bowlers. Four No. 1 overall picks were selected to the Pro Bowl this year."

Love the Harrison addition, we'd still need help at Lb and the secondary though.

Until today I read the Colts hired Philbin to be their offensive line coach! What in the world?!

I'm sorry old fans of this team and I'm sorry for me. If this were poker...at this point I would "fold."

in the vein of the OP, I know he is ancient but I am wondering if Tom Coughlin could be considered for the job. He's been the perennial thorn in the side for Beli since they parted ways in New York. I think he'd be a great fit here.

I liked what I saw out of these 2 guys. Both seemed to have good instincts and solid fundamentals. With the pats convoluted game plan it is hard to gauge what our D did yesterday without significant grains of salt added, but I am hopeful about these 2 prospects.

Got to think Shanahan would be the most likely of that bunch. Does he still have the heart to be an NFL coach though?

I like Dan Campbell. The players love him too. Dan is familiar with the staff, the guys on the team how they perform doing what they do. I feel Dan did well considering the circumstances. Took this team who was in ruins and began a bit of a turn around. This last Patsies game--the players won it for him. I even liked the husband/wife offensive coordinating team on this last game. It was

You definitely won the optimist award this season Miz. Hope you are right. It's difficult to evaluate the pieces at the top at this point. I was so - so on Hickey. He got us a pair of good receivers but not much else.

Imaginary GM Toko would have traded Wake last year, would have dumped Philbin before this season began, would have beefed up the LB core, Youth movement would have been on season 2 ...oh well, no call from Ross yet, lol.

There isn't much mileage left on the Grimes mobile . I have seen him lose some acceleration this season, won't be surprised if he is with another team next season.

I don't think there would be many buyers with his enormous contract. Even if so, the asking price would not be met by anyone. My best idea is someone like the Texans gives a 2nd rounder.

It's my estimation that this team is not going to be good for at least 2 years, that is if we are lucky...maybe we will be competitive again some time circa 2018. That being said, it's not a bad idea to get a bad coach in here like Shula to coincide with a smart GM. As of this moment however, don't have anything in the front office that I'd write home about. Cut the losses and get rid of al

Ugh please no. They need to change the logo to the Dolphin going down or belly up. This franchise is sunk if that's the direction they are going. I remember this same Shula being run out of town at Alabama U. and I really am not going to give him much credit for what Cam Newton has done this year, I fully expect the Panthers to collapse in the playoffs when the real teams come out at full speed

I think Tannehill was kind of ruined by who was in charge of the coaching and his growth as a QB was stunted terribly, it's not too late for him to make a change and get more of his mind into it, but like its been said 100000 times..with this supporting cast not even Marino would be a winner.

Only guy I'd throw the dice with of that lot is Sean Payton. The rest would be failures.
