Do I need to write a new "Battle of Wits" scene?

With our needs, I think we stick out the 2 3s. As Berk pointed out, there is value to be had at the WR spot inparticular. With that being said, I still have very high hopes for Gates to stretch the field. Also I want to see Roberto Wallace be given a chance. It is a shame he had the injury last year because he impressed me during the preseason. For that matter, so did Marlon Moore. Moore se

After reading Casserly's take, I have an even stronger conviction in drafting Tannehill. I respect Casserly's opinion and it further reinforces what I have thought. Tannehill has the goods. Put all that together with playing for the exact same coach and system providing for a seamless transition, then I feel like Tannehill is a perfect fit for the Dolphins. Perhaps, even a better fit than t

Count me in for Tannehill with reservations. As I have said before regarding both Flynn and Tannehill, I would be happy if either become our quarterback because that means either Philbin likes Flynn or Sherman has a strong conviction about drafting Tannehill. It became clear that Philbin didn't have high enough praise for Flynn so I am not upset we didn't sign him. I suspect that part of

Regarding Flynn, I said I would be stoked to have him because if we picked him then that would be because Philbin knows he is the real deal. Since we didn't take him, my guess is that Phlibin didn't think much of him. Or, perhaps, they thought highly of Tannehill and see a realistic probability of drafting him. If we draft him, I will be very excited because that means the coaching staff loves

Bob, It simply comes down to opinion. From what I have seen, I am impressed with Tannehill. However, unlike Sherman, I haven't watched him day in and day out for the past 4 years. I also don't know as much about his character and leadership skills. So you don't think Tannehill is worth the pick. I don't know either way, but I suspect Sherman likes him a lot. If they don't pick him th

Bob, First off, I am not so certain that Barkley is a better prospect than Tannehill, but let's say that he is and the Dolphins prefer to wait another year to select him. In that case, you run the risk, although slight, that he has a major injury. Furthermore, if Barkley is good as you suspect, then he will go early and, as evidenced this year, it will cost a king's ransome to go up and get

Bob, I have to agree with everything Jim has said. Since we have two mediocre veterans with contracts lasting only through next year, it is very clear that we will draft the "quarterback of the future" this year. For this reason, I have wasted several hours reviewing Tannehill footage. I came away very impressed. I am beginning to think that we didn't sign Flynn because Philb

Michael Floyd is a stud and I can see a scenario where we would pick him. However, I was not aware that he was a head case. I am still hoping for Melvin Ingram though, but I have a feeling we will be drafting Coples.

There is talk of Manning, Luck, RGIII, Flynn, Tannehill and even Weeden, all the while Kirk Cousins flies under the radar. Maybe he isn't our first choice, but I believe he is vastly underrated by the fan base. Judging by his skill set, I believe he would eventually make a great West Coast offense prospect. By all accounts, he was the most impressive passer at the combine and had a pretty good

No offense A&O, but if we do happen to draft him then I will trust Mike Sherman's judgement over yours. Of course, if we don't draft him then perhaps Sherman agrees with you.

The guy is definitely a great athlete. At the 2007 combine he ran a 4.38 40 and had nearly a 40 inch vertical. He also placed in the top 10 of every event. At 26, he is just reaching his prime and certainly showed great progress last year by catching 54 pass for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns. I like his upside so I hope we get him. Essentially replacing Marshall with Robinson and 2 3rds ma

Apparently we are looking at signing Laurent Robinson. So essentially Marshall would be substituted with Robinson and 2 3rds. Does that make it less hard to swallow? I am going to wait for the dust to clear before I make any judgements on this. Sounds like we won't have the space to sign Manning. I am starting to hope that Flynn signs with Cleveland and we draft Tannehill in the 8 spot.

The NFL Network just reported that the Dolphins are, indeed, the favorites to sign Manning. That apparently is the buzz around the combine. Why are they the favorites? It is because the Dolphins are supposedly willing to sign him to a contract before he is fully recovered. Yikes. In addition, they say the Dolphins like Ryan Tanehill a whole lot. They are strongly considering picking

I would rather have Melvin Ingram over Coples. Fleener would be cool if he falls to us in the 2nd though. I don't know anything about Guy.

Like many of you, I will be stoked if we sign Flynn. That is not because I rate him highly. The truth is that I know very little about his abilities. However, Philbin knows him as well as anyone and if he feels strongly that Flynn is the guy, then who am I to argue. So if Flynn is signed then I will be excited about it and believe there is no risk because if Philbin is willing to stake his jo

I probably hated the Bills in early 90's more than any other team. It was largely because of them that Marino never got back to the Super Bowl. I still have nightmares of Brian Cox hopelessly chasing Thurman Thomas from behind and Bruce Smith pressuring Marino. With that said, currently I hate the Patriots more than any other team. In particular, it is Brady and, now that my fantasy season

We will draft Melvin Ingram DE/OLB from South Carolina. Initially I thought it might be Riley Reiff, but I think a pass rusher like Ingram would have more of an impact and we could get an OT in the second round. Courney Upshaw is another possibility, but after studying the film, I am more impressed with Ingram.
