Every time I think about Beck backing up Henne, I get more and more comfortable with the idea of taking Pat White in the 3rd round. I think he's more than just a wild cat ingredient or potential WR. He threw really well at the combine, at his Pro Day, at the Senior Bowl, etc. The only real knock against him aside from the spread offense he played in are his physical measurements. If Pat White

How about this, sign Jason Taylor back if we can get him at a good price (after the 365 day Washington trade stipulation, which would be after the draft, so we can keep our 2nd round pick from Wash) and trade Joey Porter for an early 3rd round or late 2nd round pick. That way we've got a replacement of sorts, a better one at that, who's about the same age and not just a one trick pony. And we get

I was watching youtube highlights on both Nicks and Britt, and I must say Britt looked to be the more physical receiver. And he is one hell of a blocker to boot. I'm intrigued as to why Britt hasn't got much pre-draft attention at this point.

Any shot we can trade down with a team like Cleveland who has two 2nd round picks (one of which is only maybe 8 or 9 spots after our 25th overall pick) I'd much rather have 4 evenly spaced out 2nd round picks than that 25th pick in the 1st round. If we had four 2nd round picks we could probably land a real good corner, a linebacker like Barwin or someone who was slated to go in the bottom of the

so where does this leave us at Center? Crossing our fingers that this huge question mark (Grove) will both start and dominate for us when his history is being on IR half the time and when he has played the stats surrounding Oakland's run game down the middle don't seem to back up what we are hoping for in production out of a starting center. We certainly gave him starting money so I'm not bet

We knew this team would be a different team right away when the first reports to come out about the offseason atmosphere right after Parcells and Sporano were brought in were all about the strength and conditioning getting a complete overhaul in method and attitude.

I LOVED watching Harvin play, especially as a Gators fan. I thought he was by far the most dangerous weapon on the field during any and every one of Florida's SEC matchups. That being said, I hope we don't take him, in a big way. First of all, this "great running of routes" you mention is one of the biggest knocks on him. Nobody is clamoring about his route running. He's never had t

Why has no one tried to convert him to a linebacker yet?? You'd think after a few years of showing a combination of hard-nosed run stuffing but painfully inadequate coverage skills, somebody would look at his body type and think "hey, you suck at safety, let's put you in a position to make more tackles and focus a bit less on that coverage thing you suck at"

I'm entertained by the fact that out of this very vocal and opinionated group, not a single person has even bothered to comment about or respond to this posting in any way as it appears too ridiculous a topic to deal with for even a second until something real and concrete supports it.

I bet we don't sign one. With the exception of Gibril Wilson, this FA period for us (though still early in the process) has been punctuated by our high expectations and big hopes of landing a big name Lb, WR, or C thus far being met with disappointment and unfulfillment. I'm not knocking on the front office. They're not stupid. I doubt they leave us in terrible shape at CB this season, but I'm ju

To be honest Reppa, I've been so pathetically obsessed with any and every possible FA aquisition and draft possibility in regards to our Miami Dolphins at this point, that I must check this website every couple of hours. You'd think the draft was tomorrow by just looking over our discussion board. I'm so pumped to see what this team is going to look like this season.

Pass I'd rather consider Nicks in the 1st or Robiskie in the 2nd round over a fairly expensive, 5'11, 30-something, WR who's best days are behind him

I'm ALL for Eric Wood Reppa....only I think we can easily land him in the 2nd round, maybe even with pick 2b.

Reppa, the quote you posted about Rey: "One drawback is his recklessness, as he seems to sacrifice awareness for explosion, which could lead to gap trouble. His tackling also suffers for this, as he sometimes gets his head down and loses track of his target." Aren't a lot of those "weaknesses" coachable? Occasional recklessness and guessing can a lot of times be tamed a

I thought Cushing looked impressive. While 4.74 is nothing amazing, his first ten yards looked pretty explosive and he did well in the drills, often accelerating quickly, flipping his hips and finishing.

I'm not sure whether or not Satele is or isn't the answer at center, but I keep reading all this stuff about..."wait til he hits the weight room, he's fine he just needs to add 20 lbs of muscle, he may be the pro bowl center we've been hoping for after they put some weight on him and bulk him up, etc. etc." This mentality I understand with a rookie maybe, but why would anyone expect

how about Leonidas? That's pretty bad ass. Although I guess that's still annoying to spell. And you probably gotta put your work in at the next level to earn that name before anyone calls you that. Especially as a rookie.

I was watching some Senior Bowl Practice Session Recap... "Path to the Draft" w/ Mike Mayock and they showed this footage of some tall, like 6'5 TE out of some small school just stampede over Maulaluga on 1 on 1 drills at the line of scrimmage. He shoved him to the ground and continued running his route unimpeded, then made the catch. Rey didn't look agile enough to cover him for even a

I hear you. I agree with a lot of those concerns. Actually, I'm more interested in unloading Porter than signing Peppers. I think Porter is a huge liability in run defense and coverage. The only thing he does well is get to the QB at least once a game out of the 30 times he pass rushes during that game. I think we absolutely shop him after the year he had. This is the time to strike, while th

hahaha... nothing sounds as graceful or poetic as reading phony, typed out Ebonics to yourself. But seriously though, I sayin' dat dis be like da best way to get dem Dolphins a real pass rush cuz Peppers be a real beast, not like "Popcorn Muscles" J-peezy who's numba's be inflated cuz he be blitzin on every play

Spare me the "just because you can't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done" B.S. I didn't say anything even remotely close to that. I'm not saying "Hey...I weigh 195 and can only bench 225, that means it's impossible for anyone else my size to bench a single pound more than me because I'm obviously the strongest person in the world for my weight." What I said was, from years

PERCY HARVIN DOES NOT BENCH 405 lbs! The announcer last night was an idiot. This came from the same guy who confused what down it was during that big goal line stance made by Florida before the half. He erupted, "AND FLORIDA DOES IT!!! A HUGE STOP ON 4th DOWN!!!" on 3rd down. Even had me confused. Anyway, he mentioned that "stat" about Percy Harvin, all impressed, tha
