I thought the defense played great today - although a few sacks would have been nice. This loss was on the offense.

The defense completely stuffed the play. A lot of times you see a QB tuck the ball in that situation rather than attempting the handoff and risking a fumble or a big loss.

Ginn had a better second year than many fantastic WRs. His production was actually better than Reggie Wayne's second year who had Peyton Manning throwing to him; Marvin Harrison drawing double coverage and Edge James keeping defenses honest. People here need to realize that it is rare for a NFL WR to become a star in the first few years. Bottom line: we got beat by a better team today.

We lost today because of 5 turnovers. None of those were caused by Ginn. Did he excel today? Of course not; but nobody on this offense did. Pennington sure didn't. Brown didn't. Ricky didn't. Singling out Ginn makes no sense.

It wasn't a clean handoff because Lewis was tackling Chad immediately.

Sure All the interceptions are Ginn's fault The blocked PA is his fault Cobbs fumble is his fault He must have missed the tackle on McGahee too

The fumble will go to Pennington.

The Ravens are a better team. Chad's job would be easier if we could run or get some guys open. The Ravens are just better.

Pennington needs to play in a controlled offense. The problem is that the Ravens D has controlled the game. Pick #4 was the killer. 20 to 10 would have given us some hope.

Can't blame that one on Ginn. Another throw into double coverage. This one intended for Bess. Ginn makes the tackle after the pick.

We can't run on them right now. We need Bess, Fasano, Cobbs and Ginn to get open and catch some balls.

I thought Pennington overthrew Ginn the on the first one. Ginn went up; the ball was just overthrown. And while Ginn fell on the 2nd one, Pennington did throw into double coverage. Wasn't it Ginn who hustled downfield and knocked the ball out of Reed's hands just after he crossed the goal line? Yes, we need some WR's. Also, the line is not able to contain the Ravens rush.

I loved that first drive. Now the Ravens defense will have to be thinking about Cobbs.

3-0 after they receive the opening kick, That's ok in my book.

Forcing fumbles is a nice way to contain him.

We must contain McClain in order to win this game.

IF we are able to get to the AFC championship the team we are playing will also be red hot.

Arizona's D played surprisingly well. They did a great job of preventing cutbacks by Turner. They also got some good pressure on Ryan.

I agree with the Wildcat posts ghoti and pf2 King's comment that the Pats allowed us to beat them with a HS formation gives no credit to the Phins. His point was clearly to make it sound like the better team lost that game. I totally disagree with that.

I don't mind that people pick the Ravens. Some Phins fans on this board are picking the Ravens. I just hate his overall negativity towards us - particularly where he said the Pats are out of the playoffs because they allowed us to beat them with a high school formation. He gave the Phins no credit at all. Oh well, I guess that will come with winning.

Overall, I think we match up fairly well with the Ravens. Our run defense was missing BOTH Ferguson and Soliai in the first meeting. We basically played the game without a NT. They'll both be playing on Sunday. Of course, protecting the ball is a must. And we can't have any stupid penalties this week. Beyond that, I think our pass rush has to get to Flacco. Favre took some hits yeste

This is Miami's first playoff appearance since 2001, when the Ravens beat us 20 to 3. What will happen this time around?

Sorry if you can't see that King was discrediting the Phins' accomplishments. If you don't like the post you don't have to participate in the thread.

Whatever. The Phins are 11-5; so I'm not going to complain about the decision to cut a 36 year old LB who only played in 5 games last year and went to have a very average year this year. I was a huge Zach fan; but he had to leave sometime.

Mind boggling. The Phins were 1-15 last year, and yet he can't give credit where credit is due.
