On the defensive penalties ... converting 7 first downs for them is obviously way too many. Lippet and Maxwell just aren't good enough, and don't have the confidence ... so they hold. Howard should be back soon, and Culliver should see more snaps as the weeks go on, I think the CB play will improve as they get worked into the defense more and more. How about Holding them to 70 yards rush

Another stat that is pretty telling, and has everything to do with our ability to run the ball / control the clock: Games 1-5 we gave up 150 rushing yards per game ... weeks 6-8, 110 per game.

It is what it is now, but you can bet, that as teams show more respect for Ajayi, his completion percentage for all attempts will rise. He will make less attempts, but his efficiency will improve. This could be the first year in Tannehill's tenure, that the team around him gives him a fair shot at success. With Earl Mitchel back, and Culliver and Howard not far away from seeing action, th

"Big Game" is probably an understatement! HUGE game for us. SD may be 4-5, but they have been playing well as of late and have a couple of really quality wins, they beat the Bronco's and the Falcons. If wee get out of there with a win, almost everything is down hill from there. We play the Cards, and they look beatable ... beyond that, the Pats at the end of the season will be our b

Don't get a lot of news up here in Cincinnati, any of you South FL fans hearing anything about Xavien Howards return, or when Chris Culliver will see some action? They could definitely help our secondary. I think Either would be an improvement over Maxwell or Lippet.

We need Linebacker and secondary help before we need a QB. I like Tanne, he's not great, but in the system they are running, he will be efficient enough to win, especially with a good defense. Rypien, Hostettler, Dilfer and Brad Johnson all won superbowls ... they weren't real good, but they had good teams around them and weren't asked to do too much.

What I would like to see is them stack the box to defend the run, and see Tannehill have a good day. This is the perfect opportunity to show what he can do when he has pass protection and a running game to buy him time. Jets are #1 against the run and somewhere around the bottom of the league against the pass. You can bet they will try to Make Tannehill win this game. With that said, I'll

P.S. - I still Tanne is good enough to win. He has had historically bad pass protection, and when Lamar Miller was there, he only got the ball 12 or 13 times a game and averaged 5 yards per .... try to figure that out? With the pieces in place ... Tannehill is our guy.

Lets all just wait and see how the guy does with a running game, and pass protection. I'm still not convinced, the last 2 games seem too good to be true, but it they can keep it up, and he still makes bad throws when he has time .... then we know what we're dealing with. The remaining schedule is overall pretty soft, if they can keep it up, we may have something.

He's completely useless in a COLLAPSING pocket, the jury is still out on what he can do when he has time. I think he'll be okay. With that said, he is very good on the move, they need to keep mixing in play calls that keep him mobile.

Miami has been awarded the Super Bowl in 2020 - to be in the running for a Super Bowl, teams have to agree to play a "home game" in London.

Teams will adjust, and they will slow down the running game. To do that however, they will have to pull defenders from pass protection, and add them to the box. This will slow down the pass rush, and open up more opportunities in the passing game. What Tannehill does with those opportunities will make all the difference ... I think it will make him successful. The threat of a dominant running

Curious what everyone thinks about our remaining schedule / season ending record. Really I'm just jonesing for some Dolphins talk. Other than New England and Arizona, the schedule looks pretty favorable. Jets - Chargers -Rams - Niners - Ravens - Cards - Jets -Bills - Pats. Too soon for me to be OVERLY excited about the last two weeks, because teams will certainly adjust and try to make Tan

Opens up a roster spot for Culliver or Benwikere .... or whoever Gase thinks can help the team.

As far as Tanne goes, I wouldn't say the coaching staff took the ball out of his hands, I would say they stopped putting games on his shoulders. A few of us around here have said (not that it's rocket science), if you run the ball effectively, and protect Tannehill, he won't be in positions to force throws and make errors. It remains to be seen what this team is, but if we keep running the ball e

As far as staying with what works, rollouts, etc ... I have said the same thing many times. Call plays that protect the O-Line, like rollouts, screens, draws and the like. I have also said that Gase clearly wants to push a system, regardless of what works for the current talent. The only thing I can say that I like about that (which isn't much), is that after the cuts and additions made since las

Yeah, you have to build the core of the team before you draft a QB. No one will have success behind this line, no QB or RB. Picking a QB first next year will be a wasted pick in my opinion.

One thing the team definitely needs is stability. Every time a new HC is hired, the staff changes, the system changes, then the talent doesn't fit the system. Gase, for better or worse needs the time to build the team in his way, we need continuity. If we start over, with a new staff anytime soon, it's right back to square one.

If you're going to rebuild, then go ahead and do it. Keep most of the O-Line in tact, look for a replacement for Albert (or Tunsil if he moves to LT). Rebuild D-Line, and start young everywhere else .....

Turner, Thomas, Pead gone ... cut, Added 2 DB's and a tacke. I don't pretend to know what Gase has in mind long term, but he's clearly cutting dead weight and trying to get the best possible personnel on this Roster. Look, I never said Tanne was the same caliber as Wilson, only that a run oriented QB always takes a lot of sacks ....ALWAYS! Build O-line and D-line first, the rest will fall

Tannehill is the most sacked QB in the league since he was drafted, in the same time frame, Wilson is #2. The difference is defense and a running game. When QB's scramble, it's usually because they have too, not because they want too.

The team needs to be built from the inside out. You all saw the same thing I did on Sunday. Most of Tanne's sacks ... he didn't have a chance. On 2 occasions, I saw the left tackle get b**ch slapped by the DE, and on a third, I saw our RB totally miss his blocking assignment. Granted, some of his sacks are because he holds the ball too long, but the majority are protection issues. Look, we ca

I disagree, I don't think they inherited a mess. We were a better team last year. Miller is gone, had we used him like he served to be used, we would have put together a better year last year ... this staff let him go. They are not calling plays that suit the talent, they are calling plays for a system, a system that doesn't suit our personnel.

First of all, I was at that debacle last night ... it sucked. This is what I see; a coaching staff that insists on running a system regardless of personnel. Granted, our D.C. wanted a 3-4, but went with a 4-3 because of personnel, but beyond that, I see them jamming an offensive system, rather than planning to the ability of the players. I think our O-line is loaded with talent, albeit Bushro
