I remember him being the holder for Garo's game winning kick in the AFC championship in 1971 and not seeing him at all after that. Jim Riley seems to have had his final season in 1971 as well. The bright side of missing a non-essential, long FG attempt (if there *is*a bright side) is that he no longer has a streak going. He had hit what, 12 or 13 in a row? Now when he has a FG attempt he doesn't have it in the back of his mind that he has a streak going and just concentrate on the kick at hand, not how many he's made in a row.
