As someone who almost never watches the draft anyway, I'm only speculating here. But I think plenty of people would watch it even it it started on 3:00 AM on a workday. There are lot

When I started this thread I meant for it to be an acknowledgement of the NFL career of a very tough competitor, and to express regret that his life ended shortly after his career as a player was over.
I knew full well from the first breaking story that his personal life had everything to do with how his life ended, and was completely aware that there would be posts on this thread commenting o

Not good news for this holiday weekend, and not directly related to the Miami Dolphins, but apparently McNair was shot to death. This is just horrible. The guy recently ended an honorable career in the NFL and now meets a violent death instead of enjoying his retirement from sports.
He was a tough guy on the field, often playing injured and came very close to winning it all. I was hoping

This is a good point. The two biggest rule changes since then that made it easier on the offense

I agree that I wouldn't call it plagiarism, but it might be deemed unauthorized reprinting of copyrighted material. This is why we continually ask for posts to contain one or two lines ONLY of copy/paste, then the link to the original article. That way every

I can't find it either, but I think it was more of a forearm than an elbow.

Probably not, at this point. He'd probably want that extra spot on game day for a special teams player or a lineman.
Later on when Pennington is out of the picture, and White has developed more as a QB, then yeah.

There's a limit to the total number of players a team can list as active for any given game. That's what I meant by roster spot.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I think it's because if you list him as a WR or other, that takes up a roster spot.
if he's going to play the entire game anyway (which is hopefully in the team's plans), then it's not a big deal.
For this year though, while he's a rookie and we still have Pennington, there's speculation that he might be the emergency guy.

Having an out of town may mean nothing *on paper* but behind the scenes I think it means a lot.
Think about it, a chief or other high-ranking cop in Chicago calls the chief on Miami Beach and says something like "Why not spare both forces some bad press and just drop the charges?"
Cops from different departments do each other favors all the time (and in this case, it'd be a good

If I recall correctly, JT was the backup long snapper at some point during his previous stint with the Phins.

Heated discussions about our beloved Dolphins are okay, but let's dial back the name-calling. It's completely unnecessary.

Let me preface this by saying I live in New England, and I guarantee you all that nobody hates the Patriots more than I do. Nobody.
I think that a lot of the reason for the permanent animosity towards the Jets is the fact that so many New Yorkers relocate either permanently to S. FL or as snowbirds, then fill up our stadium for home games.
Then there's also the lifetime series record vs.

The Landshark Lager thread has *some* relevance to the Miami Dolphins, as JRS is being temporarily renamed for this product, which will be served at the stadium. A discussion about the name of the stadium and even the concessions served there does have relevance to the Miami dolphins, in my opinion.
It is true that the posts to the landshark lager thread have veered away from relevance to
