Yeah that applies to day games in the heat, not night games.

As much as I hate the orange unis, we've had some memorable games wearing them. That said, throwbacks are the best.

I don't think Henne is "some savior," but you're right that if he was that good he would be starting. Similarly, I don't believe Pat White is some savior.

Monte Clark was the Offensive Line Coach who assembled those legendary OLs in the early 1970s. He was a winner as an NFL player, as a member of one of the Browns' Championship teams. He continued to be a winner as a coach, developing the skills of Little, Kooch, Langer, et al. This guy was instrumental in the success of the Dolphins during the 70s and my hat's off to him. We could use a break. Heaven knows we've had our own share of injuries over the years.

I'm glad to see that you're happy about that. This must mean you're no longer wishing for Pennington to get hurt.

This is old news, but just yesterday I learned that Cleo Lemon was waived last week after being signed just a short time prior to that. Kim Bokamper said on his QAM shot that Baltimore signed Lemon because they thought Beck was injured with a broken collarbone...then they found out that Beck's injury wasn't so bad and cut Lemon. What's with the revolving door they're creating with our ca

We cannot sign Zach (as a player) now for the same reason we let him go. He is possibly one hit away from a serious, debilitating injury. I don't know much about his mentoring skills, but I'd be in favor of signing him as a linebackers' coach or any other staff position.

I think we're saving "the good stuff" when it comes to new wildcat plays and passing overall. BUT. I think our standard running game is in trouble. We should have been able to prove in preseason, without revealing any secrets, that we could pound the ball downfield on a grinding drive and score on running plays. That hasn't happened, so I'm worried about our running capabilities.

Re Graham and Griese: My dad was a kid when Otto Graham was in his prime (back when the closest NFL team geographically to Miami was the Washington Redskins!). Dad spins some yarns from those days and tells me that Graham was a tough son of a gun who once played with a cast on his leg. This was during the days when Defenders were allowed to tee off on QBs. For all the differences in the gam

Does any QB in the NFL currently call their own plays? I thought that went out with the dodo bird. Especially with radios in the helmets and all, it's got to be so easy to just radio it in.

I only saw from the late 3rd quarter onward, and that was likely the sloppiest exhibition I've ever seen. Camarillo has a little ways to go yet with his recovery, seeing him get caught easily from behind on that long reception of his. Hilliard wasn't getting yardage late in the game, but I hope that's due to the backup lineman blocking for him. I hope we tighten things up by opening day!
