This team needs divine intervention. Tebow's a bad QB but let's face it, he works on-field miracles. I don't really think it's a good move, but I wouldn't flip out and renounce my fandom, either.

I mean velocity, not distance. Scouts who have actually timed their 'fastballs' so to speak. Tannehill and RG3 can both get about the same amount of mustard on the ball from the breakdown I saw and Weeden's way out ahead of them. Don't get me wrong, RG3 is an outstanding athlete and I think he will be a very good pro, but if you're looking at Weeden, Tannehill, RG3, even Luck, and you want a

He's a very good passer and his arm is outstanding. The best out of all the top prospects in the draft. Luck and RG3 are both very good athletes but they don't have the howitzer Weeden does. He's a former baseball player

I agree, but if Sherman and Philbin think Tannehill is better suited to their offense, I will trust them.

I went with "Tannehill at 8" but my preference would be to trade DOWN to get Weeden and use those stockpiled picks to try to address pass rush, RT, secondary, and WR.

I'd rather totally suck than "not be too bad." I'm tired of not being too bad.

Weeden's the real deal, IMO. I will be thrilled if we trade down and land him.

I don't really care what the national story about the Dolphins is, I just want to see WINS. People suddenly think the Bills are hot stuff because they overpaid horribly for Fitzpatrick and Mario Williams? Please. It's going to be another year of 6-10 garbage for the Bills and everyone who actually follows the AFC East knows that. ChyrenB Wrote: -------------------------------------------

We didn't want Flynn. The numbers bear that out. If we wanted him, we would have made a better offer than that. Flynn is the last guy I'm concerned about right now. Flynn ain't the problem, it's everything that led up to Flynn.

The Packers, Steelers and Giants are frugal. Guess what, they're also winning teams. Who is it that breaks the bank every offseason? The Redskins. Ireland has many faults and I fully believe that he is a man with no social skills and an overinflated ego, but being frugal in free agency is the farthest thing from a fault.

People around the league absolutely despise AJ Smith. I'm not commenting on success or failure, but you can just do a google search on AJ Smith and see the litany of people who have badmouthed him over the years. Tolbert just took less money to get out of San Diego and he's been feuding with Vincent Jackson for years. And yes, he has been pretty successful, for the most part.

berkeley, I have no interest in defending Ireland, but as far as GMs who are more hated around the league? AJ Smith and Bill Polian. Not saying that's good company, but it is what it is.

You guys are overreacting, bigtime. Garrard was brought in for depth, for competition, in case someone gets hurt in camp. I think the guy's a bum, but if we draft a good QB prospect I got no complaints. We've upgraded our secondary (Bell had lost more than a step, he couldn't cover anybody back there) and I can promise you our RT won't be as bad as Colombo. Losing Marshall sucks right

Moore does not feel the rush (see: his troubling fumbling problem) and has serious accuracy issues. He will not be a good fit for the WCO, I don't think. He's a good leader and a tough competitor but he is not a good QB. With Marshall, gone, he will be exposed.

I'll tell you what my problem is with the celebrity crap. He's letting that celebrity crap mindset infect the football side of the business. Ross is the one who wanted Harbaugh and Fisher, and courted them clumsily. Ross is the one who had his lackeys tell everyone that the team would 'beat any offer' for those guys, and floated to the media that Miami would 'do anything' to get Peyton Manni

I dislike Jeff Ireland and I think he is a bad GM, but I agree with the article. People are going nuts over stupid things. Matt Flynn is not a guy to get upset about, nor is Peyton "95 million dollars" Manning, a guy that we NEVER had any chance to land, regardless of who our coach, owner, or general manager were. Wait for the draft, people. *Then* crucify him.

Peyton all about the $$$ 5 years 95 million We could not afford that. It's not a slap in the face, it's a man getting PAID by a desperate Broncos team.

Yeah he did such a great job leading that great secondary with such studs as Sean "Toast" Smith and the rotating cast of scrubs at the other safety position.

Yeremiah Bell lost a step and wasn't worth what we were going to pay him. Good move.

We suck so much, I don't even care at this point who we get to come in and play QB for this circus. It's only going to get worse before it gets better. I admire anyone who can still muster up the desire to protest this crap.

At this point I'd rather have Tebow so we can be a proper 2-14 sucker and have our pick of the litter at #1 overall.

This team is a joke. Not signing Flynn is fine, that tells me that Philbin doesn't think he's the real deal. But Alex Smith? God, this team is an absolute frigging joke.

You don't fully heal after you've had a cervical spinal fusion. He's not just damaged goods, I'm going to say right now that there is no way, absolutely no way that Peyton Manning plays a full NFL season ever again. I don't even think it's a case of Manning being unable to perform at an acceptable level, but that he flat out just can't even do it. Be very afraid if this isn't just misinfor
