This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that the area is his home with his family, and Miami happens to be on the other side of the country.

If we had a ninja quarterback we'd win the SuperBowl every year until he dies. Yes dies. Ninjas don't retire.
Actually, come to think of it I'm pretty sure you can't kill a ninja anyway...

Maybe it tells us that Ross is c

Yeah, but look how this works: You call the coach's agent and ask how much they're looking for first. Get a ballpark number. Harbaugh's camp threw out 7 mil. Ross said, "ok" and they flew out to talk, and maybe Ross didn't like him...who knows...?
Look, there is a lot of sides of this story that we haven't heard...I'm willing to bet it is not as bad as we all seem to think...

Dear Dan Henning,
At this point the fans are pissed, as you can clearly see. With Sparano sticking around for another year, somebody's head has to roll, and it will rightly be yours.
You, who calls running plays in a 2-minute drill.
You, who doesn't seem to know what the shotgun formation is.
You, who insists on running max protect schemes like they're going out of style. Oh wait...

Oh no, we're the laughingstock of the league for a day! (Until the Redskins, Cowboys, Raiders, Browns, Bengals, etc resume their normal roles tomorrow.)

I like how some of you call yourselves "realists" then proceed to go off the deep end about a football team.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Wow. Some of you have gone off the deep end.
The most embarrassing thing to ever happen to this franchise?
Worse than the 1-15 season?
It sucks but it's not THAT BAD. Get a grip.

He plays out the final year of his contract. Get to the playoffs, get an extension. Don't, thanks for coming. Tank it, get canned at the bye week.

I don't think that's true. I'll use another car analogy and say this:
Who's fault is it for not winning an Indy car race when the car is designed to only go 60mph...the driver or the guy who built the engine?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
No, I'm not, and if I come across that way then I need to make it clear right now.
Henne made me pull my hair out this season.
But Hennings play-calling made me murder kittens.

You can't compare Pennington and Henne that way... Two different skill-sets.
Pennington is the short-pass, high-accuracy, low-turnover game manager.
Henne is your prototypical pocket passer...good accuracy with a cannon for an arm...gunslinger mentality.
What we saw was an offense designed for Pennington being run by Henne.
It's like you design a commuter car with a fuel efficient

"And just so you know, I've been on the right side of the core issues all along, and the board is still gradually catching up."
You're clearly confusing your constant bitching-and-moaning with providing some sort of solution.
They're not the same, no matter how much you might think otherwise.

I can come to a few conclusions after reading this, from most likely to least likely...
1 - You didn't really watch or notice the offensive schemes that were run, nor did you listen or read about how Henne wasn't allowed

I can see that angle, Crowder, but with as much as Henne gets pulled and benched, it has to be frustrating for him. I say give him the keys and let him drive. It's the last year of Sparano's contract and he doesn't have time to develop another QB...he rides Henne to an extension or termination.

...and here is what I'm having my team do this offseason:
1. I'm keeping Sparano. This constantly-changing HC position does nothing good for us. Tony brings passion and discipline, even if he hasn't been able to get it to stick yet. I am going to give him the best supporting cast that I can and give him my support as well. I expect as much from the fans. I want to win as much as you do.
