I don't get the sentiment for dumping Bess or Solai? 1. Bess - Something wrong with having 5 good receivers? - Besides Bess will produce a lot more when you have both Hartline and Wallace spreading the field out. Yes more chunk yards and yards after catch. 2. Why is it that the Fins fans feel like we can't keep multi levels of talent. As long as we have cap space I'd love to see us hav

I'm a bit surprised we haven't signed him or someone yet. My guess is that the FO feels like we have options to cover the position in the draft, and time to wait for the market to settle some. I'd like to see us get a reliable LT prior to the draft and pick up and OL to develop in the draft if we get him for the right price. I'm more worried about CB now and thin we need two of them, thu

My guess is there are at least two factors out there driving this hesitation. 1. Rich draft for linemen 2. Winston is almost 30 and a short term fix 3. Uncertainty as to whether they will need to draft OL at 12 or get a strong candidate for another position at 12 - may need to use it for a CB - may want to draft austin (WR) if available My guess is that if we make a deal with Gr

Tannehill is going to be a lot better for several reasons. 1. Much more talent offensive weapons 2. A year and new linemen geared for zone blocking vs Parcells 3. Another year for Tanny to adjust to the speed of the NFL Maybe not a lock yet, but I'm a lot more confident than what I've seen put on the roster in years. I think that's the reason momentum is going Ireland's way on acqu

Haven't heard any more word on Eric Winston signing yet. Does that mean there are issues or just taking more time?

We need to get this done. Sorry to see him gone and I wish we could see him here when they actually have some offensive weapons. They'll get it done I'm sure. I'm thinking we go CB and OL in the draft

All I can get is that he is under contract through the 2013 Season. That means to me that there is nothing critical until the end of the this college season. Thus I'd say we have well into the season to evaluate how this years team is doing before having to decide. My guess is they will at least sync him up with Philbin's tenure of a couple more years, and likely longer if success fina

> First, it reduces the possibilities of concussion on both the defender and the RB. Second, it also reduces the risk of neck injuries for the RB. > Seems like a bunch of whining for nothing. I think it furthers the idea of making the game overly impacted by the officials. Seems like in the past few years there is a flag after every play. I'm okay with the QB protection and the defen

> Guys, I think we all got used to Ireland playing Uncle Scrooge keeping the money bags in Ross's pockets until now. This being his contract year is no surprise to me that he's having a spending orgasm. I really don't think so. I know a lot of the board has been down on Ireland but I see it less a deal on whether his contract is up to preceding circumstances. 1. He didn't really have t

I respectfully disagree. The numbers may bot be as high in sacks, but he is sooo disruptive and usually double teamed. Add in the fact that 1/2 of Indy went out the door post manning, and they still played decent defense. I wouldn't mind seeing him in as asituational player for a 1-2 year contract with the Fins

Did they mention an amount he signed for? BTW, I think this site needs to drop the sun sentinel, instead of the link working on e has to have a subscription for it to show, a bit of a pain.

I think whoever we have will do well now that we have some receiver help. That said Miller needs to learn how to pass protect, and I liked Reggie Bush's ability to run both inside and out.

Long was one of the few LTs to get the big money up there at his first contract. With Rookie signing cap, not too many OL rookies will get the kind of payday he did. He's been injured, but is valuable if he gets healthy. I'd say he would be happy and wise to re-up with Miami for about 8M a year on a 2-3 year deal.

I don't know if smith is the guy, but DBs are important and the FINS need to learn how to keep quality DBs on the roster.

I think the read option though here to stay ... will be successful for only teams that can manage to not overly depend on the QB running so much that opposing teams can hurt him. RGIII wasa a problem because management chose to play him when they didn't have to, and to play him even more when he was hurt. The read option though seemingly unstoppable at times does get figured out and teams n

BTW I don't think they are going to pay Jennings or Hartline the numbers suggested on this post. I think Jennings & Harline both will end up settling for something in 4.5 >>> 5.5

It seems that all of the real offensive teams have one or more scary offensive threats at TE. Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, Tony Gonzalez, Vernon Davis, Jason Witten etc. Who might be on the radar for the FINS to fill that role? Seems like theres a lot of talk about who we need for WRs. How about TE for the FINS? Do you like what we have. Who could the FINS draft or bring in FA to g

Wallace will xcost an arm and a leg, not sure he's worth it. Jennings should be more reasonably priced and familiar with the system. Truth is we need at least two new WRs, and thats assuming we keep armstrong and Bess. If you are putting 5 receivers on the field in some sets they need to be people that create a mismatch. I also think we really need to get another quality TE

The dolphins mgmt screwed up twice. First time was taking Ginn at # nine and not developing him Second mistake was dumping him for nothing. He should have been kept around, as his speed and as a decoy is useful ... as he is used at SF. Lastly I think when he was here we did zip to develop receivers. Maybe he was not smart enough, but I just hink he wasn't a number 1 recveiver. -

I think the clock is ticking and ... the Welker / Brady bunch just isn't enough to getit done like they used to. Somehow at crunch time Welker is not the guy anymore. Last year and this year too, not so much the drop, but more so that he didn't make the winning catch. I wonder if they haven't all lost a step - Brady, Welker, Bellicheck - Time for a new King of the AFC East!

I think a couple of points about why this is gaining popularity now. 1. We are seeing a lot of young mobile QBs coming out of college with knowledge of what the pro environment looks like and the skills to be successful in it. - Specifically able to drop back pass, and also to roll and pass or run. - The college QBs are now learning and seeing the pro-offense and defense looks more and

I think we go: Glaring needs: 1. Quality WR draft with top pick for years to come with Tannehill. 2. FA - Sign Greg Jennings from Packers as slot receiver 3. TE with one 2nd and RT with the other 4. Resign Sean Smith, and another saftey with one of the 3rd picks 5. Let the rest of the draft play out with best available prefer to see a diamond in the rough (ala Zack) LB for future

Bottom line: - Completions takes a thrower and a catcher, we've been without the thrower for quite a while, spare a few bright moments - You see teams really take off with prolific offensive combinations when you have both the throwers and catchers able to work together for a few years (NE - Brady / Welker ...etc) - Hopefully we see Tannehill and Hartline together for a while and add i

I think he is an upgrade, and wish we'd ahve acted on him earlier. This late in the season it probably doesn't matter, as we'll address that position in the draft next year for sure.
