Its a matter of perspective. If your goal is get to the playoffs only its a bad thing. If you want to get beyond the first game then good competition is what you need to prepare your team to win in december. Good post realist ... pretty much on the mark. We had an incredible run from 1-15 to 11-5 - awesome! 1. Pennington is good for this team, Henne will be there to make sure he stays good and perhaps take the reins in a year. 2. We truly need another WR, it hurt to have camarillo out as he was developing well, and has the knack of getting open. Bess played well and will only get better.

Chad had a bad game, but the coaching deserves part of the blame. They were playing double coverage deep for most of the game and we threw right into it even when under pressure. Bal- D played well, but Pennington threw into double coverage all day. Add in the fumbles and we did not take care of the ball. I too think the game was winnable, and we did not play well. The team heart was good, execution was not.
