I think Philbin/Lazor are taking great advantage of RTT's skills. His skill is pure passing. He is accurate and can throw quickly. Everything, else, knowledge of defense, taking advantage of defense, is a process, it is not native to him. Ia also am very surprised that Philbin has don what Parcells promised, which is to draft them and train them and play them--build through draft. Just und

Because it's out of ordinary, it stands out, it's not something we do. And second, no one else was on the same page with that alignment on each of the instances Suh did that. Normally, when there are d linemen overloading on one side of center it signals a stunt because there will be a lane on the other side of center, and there was in each instance, because our 3 d linemen are driving half o

I don't believe there is chemistry between the QB and the WRs to recognize matchup advantages against defenses, and here is why. Too many times wide receivers are open but not targeted. Perfect example is that beautiful pass RT threw on Sunday to Matthews in between 4 defenders. That is a super difficult pass and a super difficult spot. There are 4 defenders there in the backfield bunched u

I thought Suh was freelancing a bit. There were a couple of instances where he aligned shifted over center on Mitchell's side so we had overload on right side of dline, 3 linemen right of center. And he danced there before the snap, moving from right to left to right to left to right shoulder of center. When the ball was snapped he was on the overload side. I can see how that would confuse a

Interception are a big deal to offenses that struggle to score. To those that do not struggle to score it is not a big deal. There are qbs who throw ints and have higher rating than those who do not. I have a matrix for qb ranking and there I equate an int to 0/2 passing (2 failed passing attempts as in failed 2nd and 3rd dn lost opportunity) and also -40 yards for lost punt opportunity. Fo

A spot can be challenged. We just did not challenge it in time. They pulled a fast one on us. The penalty could not be challenged.

Certainly Philbin. PHilbin's offensive philosphy is better. Also, Coyle has outperformed Rex's defense at Jets over his tenure at Miami. That's as far as schematics go and performance goes. I think Rex is superior when it comes to talent evaluation especially on defense, and talent wins. But I like both coaches in a sense that both are high risk takers, they have balls. They are not like

Last year during the late college football season Urban Meyer said of Ohio State offense: "When we throw it, we mean it" That was in reference to their high scoring passing offense on deep throws. When Phins throw it deep, in the limited times they do, they don't mean it. They don't throw it to score TDs. We see that from Big Ben, from other QBs. When they throw deep, it is threa

Yes it is, and more specifically offensive coaching. This team can't score.

I heard that Douglas has moved ahead of Turner after this weekend. No, I don't think they know what they are doing. I think there are serious problems with offensive coaching staff.

Compare that to how the Pats scored: QB: 34 TD RB: 13 TD Def: 2 TD Total of 49 TDs x 6 pts = 294 pts FG: 35 X 3 = 105 pts XPM: 51 Total kicking 105 + 51 = 156 pts They had no 2 pts made. TOTAL 294 + 156 = 450 Or 28.1 pts per game.

From the ESPN page: QB: 27 TD RB: 12 TD Def: 3 TD That is 42 TD x 6 pt = 252 pts FG: 29 x 3 pts = 87 pts XPM: 41 That is 128 pts from kicking Daniel Thomas had a 2 pt conversion. Terrence Fede had a 2 pt safety. (Maybe the Phins stats credited Fede with recover and TD on that play at the end of Min game I think, so that would give Fede 6 pts rather than 2 and would account f

I would do 22-23 on offense and 27-28 on defense: QB: RT, and pick up Blake Sims from Canada as a rookie to groom. If RT goes down season is over as far as run at playoffs. (2) RB: Miller and Williams are 1 and 2. LeMike is a PR ace and a backup RB. Gillesle is the 4th string in case Miller or Williams go down. I'd cut Ajayi, he has shown nothing. Team can pick up a RB like him and bett

The offense looked decent. RT looked okay. The best part was that he completed 6-7 for 56 and had a TD. That is 8 ypa. He is still a little uncomfortable in the pocket, but he manages to make the throws. I thought on the one run he had, he got happy feet and felt ghost pressure too early. Some would say he recognized the void in coverage and took off. Okay. On a quick slant to Landry h

After this scrimmage I am less optimistic about this season. I dont think RT has made progress and the receivers are not better, the chemistry is not there and it will take a full year plus to get that going. That being the case I dont see any reason to play Jennings much at all this year, other than to fill in for injured players. Oline as well needs another offseason.

They will sign him if there is risk of line being awful. I like they are giving the young guys every opportunity and coaching to succeed. They are doing a good job of building, it's up to the players to step up.

I am not buying the propaganda coming out of camp. In my opinion this unit is not improved over last year's. The starters are from last year, and depth is mainly rookies. The improvement maybe be they are getting better, but that fact is not proven.

The key will be the oline, blitz pick up, keeping our cool in the redzone. I remember last year too many times with reshuffled oline, gassed second stringers, late in games, having penalties, holdings, false starts, giving sacks going backwards in the redzone after a long drive. Hopefully that changes. I am confident in skilled positions.

Not happy with losing Clay, he is a special player, a beast. Jordan Cameron is a downgrade imo. I dont see what everyone else sees in him. I hope he surprises me. That's the only bad loss this offseason. I wasnt a fan of Parker predraft, struck me as clunky and heavy footed in spite of knack for routes and soft spots in D. Maybe he was still getting to 100% from injury. OTA reports on hi

NFL is fraud for not banning for life both Brady and Belichick, for this second cheating offense in a decade. I see a lot of commentary how deflating did jot make them a great team. The hell it didn't! Let's remember, they won 3 in 4 years before getting caught in spygate, 4 SB appearances in 6-7 years. Then, after, they became a decade-long perennial playoff fodder. With deflating, they c

Super stoked about this pick. I had him and Goldman as best DTs. Goldman is better because of leverage and technique, but Phillips rare.
