I really don't have a player or players I'd hate the Dolphins for drafting. I have my favorites but other than that, the prospects are all meh to me. If I had to pick, I'd pick Floyd and Darron Lee as no-nos because they are speed guys, kinda like Dion Jordan, or Shazier, weak sauce. I want tough guys on D. We'll see what happens, but I liked the draft last year. Based on last year's sel

I don't think we have play makers O, or that the offense is anywhere near set. The QB is a problem, We have trouble scoring and moving the ball, 26th in yards, 27th in points, Landry had 4 TDs on 165 targets which is abysmal efficiency, Stills is hardly involved. We have Ajayi starting at RB and Williams as a back up to split carries. I don't see how you think we are set on O. We are more

I don't agree with Henry having issues in ZBS. If Gase calls a lot of power blocking, then yes, I see Henry having problems. In ZBS Henry will be alright. I feel Henry, with all his deficiencies, is a better pick for us than Conklin or a CB. Conklin is good player, but he is just a dude, like any OL, like Zack Martin, good player but whatever, 4-12. We don't need good players, we need pl

Joe, I will rephrase it more specifically rather than saying it broadly because I see you want to argue broad philisophical points. There isnt a DT in this draft who displays traits required of a DT like Jordan Phillips has: Explosion of the ball Reading the backfield Rip move Swim move Spin move Playing with leverage Playing 0, 3, and 5 tech All that at 6-5 330 Running down the

We should always draft a qb Imo. The team should always be eyeing QBs. We all know QBs out college lack skills, lack traits. Some less sone more. And by the way, it is not about production when it comes to college qbs and the draft. Otherwise Derrick Henry would be #1 overall pick, and Jadaveon Clowney would have been a fifth rd pick.

Bro, we are talking abt Revis out of college, and traits compared to competition out of college. Like we are not going to compare Dan Marino after retirement to some qb in college! Cmon bruh! Its like you want to argue for the sake of argument, lets keep it reasonable and give posters the benefit of the reason! Jordan Phillips's Clemson tape is better than any tape any of the DTs in this cl

13. Josh Doctson WR 42. Derrick Henry RB 72. Cardale Jones QB OR, 13. Cardale Jones QB (just get the beast QB.) 42. Whatever, best WR, maybe Michael Thomas, Charone Peake, or Josh Perry OLB. In later rounds get some players as usual to cover the quota, Id ggo with physical DBs: 107. Kevin Byard S 147. Daryl Worley DB 186. Denzel McDaniel DB 217. Fahn Cooper OL 221. Alex Redmon

As far as Spence, he had 7.5 sacks. I agree he should get to QB more often, but part of that is also he played at EKU where he did not get pocket help from others. If you watch Lawson vsAlabama on YT who had 12.5 sacks last season, he looks like he played with bum knees, he wore braces on both knees, and he ran like he was hurt. Bosa who will be a top pick did not have many sacks. It's

I love Phillips. Like, to me, the difference between Phillips and any other DT in this class is the same as between Myles Jack and any other LB in this class. I don't understand why he did not play more last season. I think Noah Spence DE is top 10 talent. Lawson is up there too. Ragland at 13 is too rich for me for that kind of player. Melvin Gordon was picked at 15 last year. He

I agree with you, it would be a shocker if they went QB at 13. I'm just speaking for myself. I don't believe in RT. By the same token, it would be equally shocking if they went DT.

I love how you laugh at Connor Cook at 13, but you put up Jarran Reed and Eli Apple. Who tf is Eli Apple and Jarran Reed? And some of the other names in OP, players of no consequence! Connor Cook is a winning pro style QB in Big 10 with a great arm and head for the game. Connor Cook is worthy of a top 5 pick! He is a franchise QB.

I am also leaning Cook at 13. We need a QB who can play, that is the bottom line.

Not just in this draft, but every draft, I would go for a standout exciting offensive player in the first round. In this draft that is Josh Doctson first, and Henry second, Cook third for me. In absence of those offensive players, I would go with a relentless lb, then a safety, then EDGE. In this draft tho, In order of preference then 4. Jaylon Smith, 5. Noah Spence, 6. Karl Joseph.

Joe, my parameters and your parameters are obviously different. Landry is an effort player but ordinary, he is not a beast. He is not a td threat, for all that volume of targets, 166, he doesnt score enough, and his average is low, 10 ypc. He is ordinary. Parker is a beast, physically and play wise, 20 ypc. Parker can play the slot and in his sleep do what Landry does. Landry cannot pla

I dont agree that Williams is useless, that we need a run stuffing DT, and that Landry was the only great pick. Moreover I dont view Landry as an elite player. He was a good pick, not a great pick imo. He is an effort guy. Parker is elite. Parker is the best Dolphins pick since Marino. That's how I see it.

The value of Jaylon Is in the fourth rd. As you said, a good case scenario is he will redshirt. There have been som athletic olb coming out recently like Kendricks and Telvin Smith. So imo there is likelihood there will be another one in next year's draft. Id be willing to pick Jaylon in the fourth and redshirt him and pay him that rookie salary for the benefit of having him ready in 2017 and

I don't blame the defensive line. They are slow, all defensive tackles are slow. Their game is gap fitting, squeezing the hole, etc. In pass game it's simple, they push the pocket. Minor movement. They don't do much. The linebackers need to perform! They are the heart of the defense. they need to fly.

I think they drafted bpa last year and it worked out great with Parker. And even in the second round, they drafted bpa in Phillips. Here is what I mean by bpa. A player who jumps off the tape, has played at an elite level, and has elite athleticism to confirm the tape. Athleticism is obtained from the measurables, combine, workouts. Obviously the second rd players will be less elite than t

I agree. I like Hogan a lot. I also like Brandon Allen, and Nate Sudfeld. I'm cooling off on Lynch, not interested any longer. But all of those QBs have deficiencies similar to Tannehill, to a lesser or greater extent.

As far as a tackle who can play guard, I like Decker a lot. I think he is a legit bpa option at 13. I would not take him over Doctson or Spence for example, or even Henry, but I would take Decker over other prospects at 13.
