Well, that isn't true, but he doesn't spread the ball around very well, either. Ludricrous it definitely is not. Is he worth the utterly ridiculous amount of money it would take to sign him? No Way!
However, our options are limited so we'll be stuck with him. The only positive that I can think of is that he has shown an ability to learn over the off-season, so maybe he can learn to be effective

"But you don't need it to win a championship. Be easier to just get TUA more help. Starting with a center."
More Excuses.
That's why we got stuck with Ryan Tannehill for 7 lousy years.
Besides, we have a damn good center..when he's healthy.

Take another look at the starting offense, everybody who isn't on IR played this game, lots of the starting players, but NOBODY got it done tonight. Well, they have 8 months to think about it, lets hope that they respond something like the '72 team did after their humiliation in the '71 Super Bowl against Dallas. But then again, we don't have a leader like Bob Griese.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I am sick and tired of everybody making excuses for this kid. Face it, this kid CANNOT get it done and excuses for him will just result in another Ryan Tannehill situation. At least this kid has gotten us to the playoffs, even though we don't have a very good chance of actually winning it.
What really bothers me is that certain local comemtators like Tagovailoa's approach to quarterbacking- they

"1. Does a team absolutely need a truly elite QB to legitimately compete for a SB?"
Elite? No. Consistent? Absolutely yes. Joe Flacco with the Ravens was definitely not elite, but he was consistently dependable with the things he that he did.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
No, TCFP, you were totally right about him, he is NOT an 'elite' quarterback. He had time to do so, but he DID NOT set his feet before he threw into the ground, over his receivers' heads, or to a Bills defender. That is NOT elite.

I am sick and tired of idiots like Omar Kelly, Travis Wingfield, Kyle Crabbs and a few others who try to convince us that this kid is a GREAT QB- so far as I am concerned, he isn't even a good QB. Yeah, he has gaudy (kind of like costume jewelry) numbers, but he doesn't win the big ones. Yes, he managed to squeak out the Cowboys game, but the BIG ones -the ones we have to win- he ALWAYS falls sh

Tua does it again- GIVE the DAMN GAME AWAY! five 3-and-outs in the second half- then an interception to LOSE the game! We cannot win in primetime! This kid is TERRIBLE when the pressure is on.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
This team embarrasses us EVERY TIME we have a big-time game in prime time or on the road. The whole football world was watching today, and we BLEW the opportunity. Badly. Again. We haven't been able to beat a good team on the road yet.
1. Do we consider firing Vic Fangio? The defense never showed up today, and he has used some form of a prevent defense several times this year. It cost us the gam

I was unaware that one loss constitutes an 'implosion'.
Nevertheless, now, after the Jets game, do you still hold that opinion?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I am sure he's pissed at his WRs, but normally you get fined for bitching at the refs- he deserves to be fined.
BTW, the guy that lined up offsides was Valdes-Scantling, not Mr. Swift.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Damn stupid kid! Tuanon: Tua SUCKS!!!!! Six points against this bunch!!! Defense: What the hell were you doing?!?! You play 57 minutes of decent football, then give up TWO touchdowns and a two-point conversion in just three minutes?!? We get into the red zone TWICE, and McDaniels has a brain fart and never tries to run it in! THE RUNNING GAME WAS WORKING!!!!! So- six points instead of fourteen!!
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I hope so too. But..I agree with you. He can erase all my doubts just by winning some tough football games late in the season against good football teams. I hope like hell that he does.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Guys- let it go. I never said that Tua isn't a good QB, he is. I just said he doesn't have 'IT'. They are very different things.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I thought Eichenberg had a decent game- for him. As for kickers, Sanders has got to be on a bubble of some sort, and- I miss Thomas Morsted.

Teams in this division have seldom swept a division rival for a season over the years, even when certain divisional teams were good. I am uncomfortable about the people that airily dismiss these next five games as easy, or even already have them in the 'WIN' column. So, people expect to sweep TWO division rivals in one year!?! This is foolishness. It is certainly true that the old saying 'Any tea
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Yes, they are moving the ball but not very well.
I feel the same way about the Raiders. I never liked them in those days and I can't say I feel any different now. Next, we play another divisional rival from those days- The Jets. I might be more uncomfortable about this game if Rogers hadn't gone down, but don't forget- Wilson put 40 on us last year. That was then and this is now, but never unde

It's obvious why they don't throw at him at all- three picks in three games when they do throw at him, and this guy is so smooooth! I enjoy watching him play, and I love the way the defense looks so much better with him back there.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Yes, that's it exactly! Guys saying stuff like 'the defense had 'it' for a little while' tells me that they don't get it at all! 'IT' is a VERY rare commodity. You either have it or you don't-it's a binary thing. Only Quarterbacks can have 'IT', these guys handle the ball on every play, and damn few of them do. Danny had more of 'IT' than anybody else I can think of, but Roger Staubach, John Elwa

This kid pisses me off. I didn't want them to draft him, and I wasn't happy that they did. Maybe now everybody realizes that as long as we've got this kid we won't win any games where the pressure is on at the end. He plays well against the mediocre teams, but in a pressure-packed game he may play well early , but if it is close at the end he has a history of falling apart and playing poorly when

I didn't watch this game on Sunday, and when I found out that we lost, I didn't bother to watch it. I just saw the last few minutes of the game, and I disagree with you. Tua completely blew it (again!) on that last drive. First, the drive was completely Mostert until the last downs. Then, they took the ball out of Raheem's hands and gave it to Tua, A MISTAKE! First down, a poor pass to Mostert in
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I disagree. I thought that the defense, with a couple of exceptions, played pretty well. Eli Apple sucked when he was with the Giants, but I had hoped he had gotten better with experience. But, nope. He still sucks. DB's thin again, much like last year. Is Cam Smith really not as good as this guy? But, at least we have hope things will get better this year. O-line looked fair, but Eichenberg look
