I'm tired of the Dolphins having a big night game and then laying an egg in front of the whole country. It has happened too many times in the last twenty years to make me somewhat uncomfortable about this game, and it's embarrassing. What we've seen are some memorable games, with disturbingly poor outcomes. What I want to see is a team that competes hard to the very end of a hard-fought win. I th

I think that you should, because the O-line couldn't control their outside line guys, giving Tua very little time to go through his progressions and set up an outside game. And as Rick Weaver would have said, 'They knocked us flatter than a state fair pumpkin!'. I was never too sure exactly what that meant, but then he didn't have to use that saying very often because it didn't happen to this te

Yes, it would. And, a win would make up for all the recent frustrations against them.

Maybe they're confused- Brian Cox is a very well-known actor, Bryan Cox was a damn good and nasty linebacker and a current coach.

This week, I heard several commentators (both national, and unbelievably, local too) talk about 'the new rivalry between Buffalo and Miami'! Apparently, none of these characters know anything about their history or the rivalry that has existed between these two teams since the beginning of the AFL. And, what about the years when Marino and Kelly were battling for the division in the late 80's/ear

Well, now we know: they got knocked out of the clouds. It looked as if they forgot how to apply the fundamentals, and apparently the coaches took the week off, too. From what I saw, a total of TWO guys played well: Andrew Van Ginkel and DeVon Achane. The bad part was that they made mistakes too, just nowhere near as many as EVERYBODY else. What a debacle! However.. we get another shot at them a

This damn kid drives me crazy. Yes, he has good stats. Good for the analytics types. He keeps dropping the ball on snaps because he takes his eyes off the ball too much. These dropped snaps ARE NOT Connor Williams' fault, they ARE Tua's fault, ALL OF THEM. Watch the replays of those plays, its clear. He throws into triple coverage far too often. He's got to find a way to score on those first driv

No, I am definitely on board with this one. I found myself arguing uselessly with him multiple times like it would make a difference. I don't think he's very accurate with his observations. Have you tried listening to Joe Rose and Jimmy Cefalo? Try them, but be forewarned: they are unabashed homers- just like me.

"dt scrubs" are you nuts? Zack Seiler is AT LEAST as good as Wilkins, he's the most underpaid guy on that team, even after getting a raise. They more than tripled his salary, and he's still underpaid. Wilkins isn't going to get what he is asking, just because his sack numbers aren't up to par with the highest-paid DTs. He does much more than that, but this league is analytics-driven the

41. Re: QB2
I don't think White actually won the job; I think he was paid to come here and be the No.2, and from that date he was going to be the no.2 regardless of the preseason happenings. Several local reporters had Thompson winning the job, but I don't think that was ever going to happen.

I saw Jim Brown live twice when he tore up my formerly beloved Eagles and several other times on TV(not so much football on TV in those days), as well as seeing all the others mentioned. There have been some great backs in this league, but NONE compared to Brown. Barry's moves, Csonka's power, Sayers slipperiness, Payton's determination, he had them all in abundance. I know that a LOT of younger

You're quite correct about that. I also agree with you about our current o-line, but..we need MORE. As for Cook, in my opinion, we don't need him. First, It doesn't seem as if he wants to give us a hometown discount (not that I blame him for that!). Second, we run a back-by-committee, as they did in SF when McDaniel was there, so we really can't use a primary back the way he would want to be use

That's why they had the No.1 offense in the league that year- add also the No.1 defense to that mix, you go..UNDEFEATED.

Why? Because he was a first rounder? Anybody that watched him play wouldn't want him.

Oh, yes a few did. Delvin Williams was a good pickup from SF for a few years, Don Nottingham from the Colts way back, but there weren't many. Actually, those were both trades, so, never mind.

TCPF- I suppose you're right. I have certainly watched and read my share, I just got disgusted with the extreme repetition of the same film over and over again- and that was in March. So, the joke is on me, too. P.S. Also, I don't care for college football, I don't watch college football, so at draft time I have absolutely no knowledge of any of the players so I can't make value judgements, an

51. Re: Tua
'Tua is a damn good QB. He decides very quickly on where to go with the ball' I disagree with that statement as written. I do think that Tua CAN be a good QB, but if the play breaks down and he can't get the ball to one of his primary receivers, he looks lost.

I know that many of you are draftniks, and I like about 15 minutes of the draft, but c'mon! mock drafts?!? just look at how many different ones are in just this thread! They are everywhere, made up by every idiot that wants to do one, and each is just as useless as the last. It should be CLEAR that they are a waste of time (sort of like the 'grades' that they assign after the draft-but before any

"Remember that free shot from a bill lb that got tua hurt in 2022?" Are you serious? That was entirely Tua's fault! The o-line gave him plenty of time, he just ran around back there like he was waiting for some defensive player to knock his head off, which is exactly what happened. He had plenty of time to look at every receiver he had available (maybe twice!) on the field, and still h

An injured Pro Bowler. Yes, he supposedly was ready to play again, but he didn't play and was supposedly "suspended" for some unknown reason before being CUT! Belichick cut a Pro Bowl punter?! For what? Who knows, he hasn't said. As far as I'm concerned, it just reinforces my opinion that Bill is a lousy personnel man, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN! I absolutely agree on the Sanders thing.

I just read that Morstead is going to the damned Jets. We got a kid from the Patriots. It makes no sense to me that punters are moving around the AFC East, but I don't see how we made out better with the moves. We've got no idea what we got in this kid Bailey, but we know what we had in Morstead, a damn fine punter. After the last two mediocre punters, we finally got one who got us into advantage

He WAS a winner. Now, he's just OLD. It amazes me that anybody would still think so- did you see him play last year? Poor. He isn't one of the best 32 QB's in the world anymore- maybe as a backup, maybe one of the best 96 (maybe), but I personally don't think so. Besides, isn't he busy with a new cat?

TCPF: 8 mil a year IS a lot for a third stringer, but I like Thompson. Should be a good competition for backup, but talent will out! We'll see.
