Date: February 05, 2013 12:43PM It was almost certainly something in one of the Ads. I don't knowingly load anything from "streeter.com" in any of my pages, but the ads are loaded from third-party sites and I have very little control over what gets loaded. Once in a while, some bad ads do slip through.
As far as browsers are concerned, most of the security studies I've read rate Google Chrome as the most secure browser you can use. It warns you when it thinks there is malware in the site you are accessing or when that site has a history of hosting malware. Having said that, Chrome is not perfect and may have made a false positive. My security scans on Phins.com have not revealed any malware, but I would be interested in any reports anyone has about warnings they have gotten with respect to Phins.com. Disclaimer: When I'm not working on Phins.com, I work for Google - although not on Chrome.
