Early on, you started referencing posters here and what they always do like you had been here before. I could go back and look at your early posts for more specificity but then again is it that important? It's only a theory in the first place.

Now DK, you have taken offense at things I have said and I had to calm you down and tell you no offense was mentioned. When these guys criticized you for making negative assessments of the team, I supported you and said that is what a good fan does. He does not hide his head in the sand and then bitch and moan when the team starts playing crappy in the regular season and then try to blame it all on one person like Chad Henne,etc. With A & O, he probably thought you were MikeO and he was picking up where he left off. Quite frankly as I posted, I think you are too but hey! I never thought MikeO should be banned in the first place. You just feel "too" passionately about the team and your view of how it is performing.

I think in a calmer moment you will say that that is as much an overstatement as I made when I used the word blast.

But preseason games can rarely be counted on as an exact, or even close, prognosticator of how a team will perform in the upcoming regular season.

I think that your assessment here is an accurate assessment of how some people on the board reacted to you and the "newness" point is right on target. Maybe if people don't know you they are more likely to consider you an outsider who is criticizing someone in the family.

No, I think that's overthinking it. I have expressed the same negativity about the team, its ownership and its leadership and he has argued with me but never to the extent that it got personal like it did with you. Quite simply, he thinks you are MikeO. If HokiePhin were not posting now, he might think you were HokiePhin posting under a new name.
