Er, Henne sucks. :-) The Phins should have at least gotten Vince Young or some other real competition. Even if he COULD improve, he's not going to without that. I can't remember the last time I was this unexcited at the start of a Dolphins season.

Why is it that if you post anything that is negative about Henne, it is looked at as Hating Henne... I may not think he has played well, or may not think he is the future, but that does not mean I hate him... I wish him well and want him to suddenly turn into a Great QB, I want him to win every game, hell I don't but season Tix to want him to loose.. But if he plays like crap, I will say he played like crap... He is what we have to start the season, and when he takes the field on MNF to start the year I will be cheering him on. as well as every game he plays... If he plays great I will be on here saying he played great, but if he sucks I will also post that...
I think that what is the tug of war here is that we must all realize, particularly the "Don't Hate Henne" people, is that there a difference between criticizing Henne and even saying he sucks and should be replaced on a website forum like this and going to a practice or a game and booing Henne.
The first is what good fans SHOULD DO. I know what we say on this forum is of little account. But if we were on the team or in the management, we should express our opinions passionately in order to effectuate a change that will benefit the team as we see in its best future interest.
However, when we play New England or any other team. When the team is on the field practicing, then it is certainly downright stupid, if not disloyal to take your criticisms public and to hurt the feelings of one of our team members.
But folks, this forum ain't a game or a practice session at the field.

I really can't think of one person on here who this would apply to.
Thanks CheryenB. Have been since '78. Got a small glimpse of Bob playing QB back then. Have a passion always for the organization. Guess I used the wrong word. It should have been poor play instead of bad. But after what I saw last night sans defense(remember it was Joe Montana reincarnated), it may be the beginning of good things to come from now on. Take care all.
After last night's game and a ton of posts, should you guys consider creating an Official "Lovin' Henne" thread? You'd be able to merge a bunch of others into that one

I actually agree. I'm just amazed at the difference in posts from a few weeks ago.
BTW: taking the pressure from the pass rush into account, I actually think Henne equaled or even outplayed Brady. Take that 99 yard fluke TD away from Brady, and the yards are nearly equal (418 to 416). Take that TD away and it's 3-2, Brady to Henne. Meanwhile, Henne was running for his life while Brady could have knitted a sweater in the pocket.

Put Brady behind our O-Line and he'd have more Ints than TDs. He's shown that in the past. Put Henne behind the Pat's O-Line and he'd have 500 yards.
