Think about all the holes we have plugged in the past few years. Our secondary is looking solid, Vontae has Pro Bowl written all over him. If somebody can shut down the 2, maybe a healthy Will Allen or an emerging Nolan Carroll, and our Safety play continues getting better, that's a good unit. And our front 7 rotation? Looking very good. We have a great pass rush (finally) and are strong up the middle. Koa is a player, and AJ coming back could be good news for the coverage units. Even Solai looks great. Add Dansby (beast)and Burnett..DEFENSE, check.
Ok, the Offense..
Clearly this regime believe in Henne.. we'll see about that soon enough..
But look beyond that. Our WR corps has gotten drastically better with last year's big FA Marshall. Ofcourse, Bess is the MAN! Hartline is underrated (IMO). Let's hope either Marlon Moore and/or Clyde Gates can provide a vertical threat (and Chad complete it!)
The OLine is coming around, hopefully Pouncey locks down the C position. TEs, its Fasano. He's ok. Deal with it. And we definitely picked up speed all around. Bush, Gates, Clay. Grigsby? (maybe a strech, but he's FAST). And I'm excited to see how Daboll revamps this Offense with new weapons and mismatches to exploit. If Thomas and Bush can be more effective than the ricky/ronnie show (shouldn't be hard), we should be better..
But again.. It comes down to the incomparable Chad Henne.

I like Your optimisim. I like the FA moves so far as well. But it all comes down to who is behind center. Henne needs a fire under his ass. Mat moore can't even light a match. Bush has great hands recieving and marshall should help stretch the feild but we still don't have that deep threat. And henne hasn't shown he can hit the side of a barn. Guess we will have to wait and see. I hope he makes me eat every last thing I've said about him.
the good news is we may be only 1 piece away from having a great team. the bad news is the piece is a franchise QB, which is nearly impossible to get, and take a few years to get there

I agree. Thats why you need to take the chance when you get one. If you don't take a swing you will never hit it out of the ball Park. Mallet was that swing this year. we needed to at least Try. But irlend Doesn't want anyone to replace Henne. Thats the point of this thread and I've been saying that since the draft. Hell I'm surprised he signed Delvin.

Yup it sure does!
Hopefully odrick is done with the injuries and has a injury free career.I dont know why i have a bad feeling about odrick.
