Don't be surprise if this happens , everyone thinks that the dolphins
are going to bring in someone with creditablity to compete with
chad henne for the starting job, i just don't believe they will do
it
Think about , instead of brad childress, they bring in Brain Daboll
instead of drafting Ryan Mallett and Mark ingram, they draft Mike pouncey and Daniel Thomas.
So there is know way in hell they bring in someone to beat out
chad henne.
Why i pick matt moore? Its because they know him he is young and he is
a yes man,and he was a free agent on the dallas cowboys when this
regime was there.
And he is cheap.
And this sounds like something they would do.
I hope i am wrong.
i hope you're wrong too----this does fit their MO but I think both sporano and ireland know they are on thin ice so I think they opt for a bit more "flash" in a QB

I agree with this. Fits there M. O. 100%. They do not believe in the QB posistion as anything more then a person that relays the plays to the Team in the huddle. Saprano is a control freak . Wants little Robots with no emotion that can hand off and complete safe throws. Wuss bag Mother Fer's.
In the words of Mr Miagi..."Different but same". Moore is an interception machine who looks good when it doesn't matter but can't get it done when it does.
As was pointed out in the earlier thread on this, Moore also may be familiar with Daboll's system. Moore had been playing under Jeff Davidson in Carolina. Davidson and Daboll coached together with the Patriots. I don't know if Davidson and Daboll have similar systems, but with both being young coaches under Belichick/Crennel, it would not be a surprise if they are similar. And that could be attractive to the Fins.
I actually like Moore more than a lot of the other options. He's young and has some upside. In 2009, he completed over 61% of his passes, with 8 TD, 2 INT, and a 98.5 passer rating. His 2010 was bad (5 TD and 10 INT), but you could argue that Carolina had the worst group of receivers in the league.
If we are going to be trading draft picks for a QB, I want that QB to be hands-down better than Henne. And I don't believe Orton or Kolb would be locks to be better than Henne. We have traded too many picks for "maybes" at the Qb position, and I don't want to see us do it again.
Vince Young is not the answer. There's a reason Jeff Fisher gave the Titans the ultimatum "it's Vince Young or me." And there's a reason the Titans stuck with Fisher. Young is not known as a leader. He is known as a guy with immense natural talent, but who doesn't put in the work required of the QB position. And is he mentally tough enough to handle the ups and down of the position? So far, the answer is no.
I don't see Hasselbeck as a great option because he's always been a west coast offense guy. Bulger could be a good fit for a year, if he has been rejuvenated. But, he's a stopgap. And I don't think he's guaranteed to beat out Henne, either.
Exacty why we should have drafted a quarterback (Kappernick)...a young guy with promise and upside is better than a veteran that most likely won't win the starting job.
Looks like this staff really wants henne to win the starting spot.
Just so that people do not say henne didnt had competition......is the only reason moore is going to compete with henne.
Moore do not stand a chance....Its just a formality. Or custom.
They are bound to give henne another chance no matter what.....Whats the worst that can happen....the phins go 1-15 and the get the number one pick next year?
I think i will take another terrible season just so that we can get A.luck and be good for the next 12 years.
IMO this team is just 3 players away from been a true contenders.
1. A great QB.
2. and a couple more OL players....
For the last 15 years ive learned how to become masochist..........And that goes for the rest of the dolphins fans.
Maybe in the next couple of years a change will come.
