To me the Dolphins have 2 options. Pick a QB early in the draft or later. Ricky Stanzi would be awesome in the 3rd round IMO. But Henne just may get 1 more chance at this. But they need a Viable QB option waiting in the wings to push him no matter what. If they drop down thats a free Pick. It has to be a QB IMO. Maybe Henne will finally get the coaching he needs and a new QB breathing down his neck will finally kick start his ass.
All those tipped passes would be considerably reduced by a stud G or C who'll help keep the pocket intact and keep those DLine hands down... In the first round theres POUNCEY, but in the mid to late 2nd theres RODNEY HUDSON from FSU.
In a perfect world the GIANTS give us their 1st and 2nd because they believe NE will take RB MARK INGRAM infront of them. That'd set the stage for something outstanding come DRAFT night. A double trade-down, multiple 2nd and 3rd round selection. where we can address the interior offensive line protection and chunk yardage RB issues...
Let me first say we need to have a backup plan and that would involve getting competetion for Henne.
Draft a qb and maybe even sign one.
That being said..stranger things have happened and its not ridiculous to think that Henne could benefit from a different scheme. Most qbs need the right fit to succeed.
Drew Brees numbers were pretty similar to Henne's thru the first couple of years and he took off big time after that.
Rich gannon is another example.
It would be nice to end up in a situation like san diego had a few years back....having Brees and Rivers. Its a long shot but not impossible.
