I'm not opposed to taking a project at QB. However, I'm skeptical of the Phins ability to develop a prospect into a quality, consistently top 1/2 of the league starting QB. I can't remember the last time we took a young QB and developed him...maybe Scott Mitchell?
Do you think a late round project Qb is gonna help this regime or Ross sell tickets... If we do take a late rd project QB, we would have to do something real sexy with an early pick or FA. If not then I doubt it happens...
Just because we sign someone in the later rounds doesn't mean we dont resign Thigpen (supposedly Philly has interest) or a vet to mentor for a few years.
I think Ponder Dalton, Kaepernick , Devlin. maybe even McElroy could be our guy
Not sure why we didn't hire Mike Shula or Zorn as the QB coach, Dorrel has never really shown anything. he was bad.......... at UCLA
