Possible 3rd? round pick?

Tuna Sighting! Parcells Emerges for Sitdown with TCU QB Andy Dalton 12

Feb

Apparently The Tuna joined GM Jeff Ireland and Head Coach Tony “Sir-Kicks-alot” Sparano during Senior Bowl festivities to get to know TCU quarterback prospect Andy “Crazylegs” Dalton. This according to Dalton’s father.

Nice to see Parcells taking time out from burning $100 bills and consulting with other franchises, to help the good ol’ SoFlo Sea Mammals. Was this simply a gap in The Tuna’s busy schedule? Or are Jeff and Tony smitten with Dalton, and looking for a third opinion on the matter?

Dalton is a very solid prospect. He led the dynamic TCU offense, and piled up a mountain of wins during his career. Guru Mike “Mayhem” Mayock currently lists Dalton as his #5 quarterback, but has said he expects Dalton to rise leading up to the draft, due largely to his underrated arm.

At any rate, could be a guy to keep an eye on. A possible target for the Dolphins in the 2nd if we trade down and add a pick, or in the 3rd if he should fall that far.

Sorry paragraph got some words deleted??

I ment to say was, I seen alot of last names, as first names on the uniforms.

I saw, met, and conversed with a few "Daltons" and came to one conclusion, just weird individuals.

Not sure just coincidence, however there where 4 seperate ones, and well????? Not much differance.

Lol I know wierd, and I like the kid, I mean I rooted for TCU, AND BOISE to take national championship game, but the fixed BCS.

Anyway's I hope he develops, however I just dont get that warm fuzzy vibe when I hear myself saying his name, like I did with Dan Marino.

Getting back to the subject of the e-mail, are you guys as pissed off as me that Parcells appears to be continuing to bend our organization over a barrel and give it to us...well...

I mean, didn't he choose Pat White? Why the HELL are we letting Parcells get even 100 feet from Ireland and Sparano. There are MUCH better QB options coming out of college than Dalton. Parcells resigned...and he needs to GO AWAY!! I mean, he gave advice to the 49ers why he was still working for us. How can we even consider trusting him?!

I don't get this "We" thing. If Ireland and Sparano want to talk to Parcells it's their business. If they didn't want to they could just tell him to kiss off.

One thing is talking to him. Another thing is including him in conversations pertinent to the Dolphin organization. He's no longer associated with the Dolphins, and he's very likely going to take a position with another team sometime soon. He's already got enough knowledge about our team that could benefit someone else. Why allow him to take even more now that we're not even paying him?!

Not to mention he doesn't have a very good track record regarding QBs.

My point is that it is their call if they want to get his opinion on something. I'm not sure he is not getting paid. Isn't he still a consultant? What I did not like is when he talked to another team while under the Phins payroll. Might be done all the time but I still don't like it.

Well again White showed the promise that Newton has been showing comming out of college, so a lesson learned the hard way about guy's who run first.

My problem is that I'm sure that Ireland will stay away from guy's like them, however alot of people on here would take Newton, which is just a slower, bigger version of White?

First, SamSam, didnt you send me some PM'S, then after we chatted, your last pm was lets just talk football?

The reason why I am asking is because the last I don't know 5 post or so you made in referance to me, has been nothing but insults?

So which is it, you want to talk about football, or just insult somone?

Second, Aqua because man certain name's just arnt made for greatness. I don't know dude, but Dalton? I just don't vision in my mind one day that Andy Dalton is the SB MVP?

I don't know I just imagine myself broadcasting certain names in differant titles, and some names just don't ring for me.

I'm sure names like Y.A.Tittle or Bobby Layne didn't necessarily strike fear into their opponents..until they actually played.

Heck, what about Joe MONTANA? That's like the most boring state in the union! Is he related to Tony Montana from the movie "Scarface" ("Say hello to my little friend!" )? What a joke of a name!

How about Dan MARINO? Italian name, huh? Maybe the mafia will intimidate the other team into losing!!

I could go on....but I won't for obvious reasons.

Marino has a nice name, and the nick name Dan the Man is classic? I think the problem here is your taking anyone's name and trying to make a case that it is wierd.

All I am saying is I take peoples names and try them out for certain titles, I never said it can't happen, just I don't think it will.

Which come's to you as a opinion, which you can either agree with or not agree with, based on your opinion.

RESPONSE: I remember sitting up and watching college football one day and hearing the announcer say, "Hey, Get this! Notre Dame is starting at quarterback today a kid from Monongahela, Pennsyvania named Joe Montana." And the announcers had a big laugh. errrrrr... for SOME reasons, that moment has stuck with me.
