Anyhow on first down they throw down field for a 60 yard bomb and just miss an open receiver by 2 yards. Second down they run for 2 yards and what do they do on 3rd and 8? Again they throw down field and complete a 60 yard bomb for a possible nail in the coffin. Where we would have run a dive play or qb sneak on 3rd and 8.

yes, I agree. The conservative approach to this offense is disgusting.

Carson Palmer is a joke! No better than Henne. We won't know what Henne can do until we get an OL, a WR, and OC.

Throw him out now if you want to but, on this team, it would take an elite veteran to be succesful and even then I don't know if it would work.

based on career stats, wins, come back wins, pro bowl selections, every single benchmark you measure a QB against. SB appearances, how many does Henne have? I think Palmer isn't so great any more, but there is no category that Henne is better than him in.

The biggest problem with Carson Palmer this season was TO. That's not my opinion, that's a fact. Look at his play with Owens (specifically, who he was targeting when he threw most of his INTs) and his play without Owens.

If Cincinnati cuts him (which looks very likely), it would be stupid not to pick him up.

Your argument is that Carson Palmer is not good because he has no playoff wins. I pointed out that if you look at TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS as the sole measure of a QB's worth, you would find that TRENT DILFER is a better QB than DAN MARINO.

If you can't understand why my comparison demonstrates why your criteria is ignorant, then that's probably why you think Chad Henne is as good as Carson Palmer.

Aren't some of you guys wanting Palmer some of the same who call this a QB driven league? Aren't the Bengals 4-11? Go ask a Bengal fan what they think about Palmer before you start spitting out career stats.

I dont know what the answer is but I am very sure that drafting a qb is not the answer since I dont think we can develop a rookie qb. I think we need to get a young guy that is looking for a shot, maybe a matt flynn after another year of seasoning...
