I guess you could look at this question like this:
What's our biggest problem Chad Henne or Dan Henning?
I'm not actually sure which decision was worse. But I do know that I smashed my cellphone to the ground after the Henne timeout. Reminded me of last year when Sporano called a timeout against the Saints right before the half when we were destroying them but they finally drove down field, giving them time to decide to go for it on 4th and 1 and swing the game in their favor. These decisions kill us. We're lucky the Henne timeout didn't hurt us today.
Why would you put the timeout call on Henne? Henne was the guy who signaled to get the team to hurry to the line of scrimmage. They got to the line of scrimmage, and they had no play to run. And they waited and waited, and still had no play to run. Henne had them at the line of scrimmage very quickly. The fact that no play happened before the timeout is entirely on Henning.
when we got the ball back before our last drive.....my false hopes had me believing we had somewhat of an O and could win the game.....I'm a delusional fool about my beloved PHINS....or these overpaid imposters they call the PHINS.
The final series of the game says it all. 42 seconds left, 50 yards to go for FG range. And Henning has Henne line up under center, with a RB and FB lined up in an offset I. Please. That is so dumb it's beyond comprehension. Henning should be fired tomorrow, and let David Lee audition the last two games.

I agree completely. If you have any intentions of letting Lee apply for the position next year, it would be foolish not to give him an on the job audition. Especially considering right now we have zero to lose. Plus, firing Henning will send a message to the fan base that the ownership isn't completely retarded.

That sentiment is what is going to be the death nail for Sparano and crew. You can't repeatedly lose at home like this and expect your fans to return next year. Not gonna happen. The calmer I get after watching that train wreck today, the more confident I am that heads will roll, just maybe not as fast as I want them to(tonight versus the end of the year.).

Who care that pass was to Patrick Cobbs. Get your players straight before you pose a poll question.

Wow. Jesus, relax a little with all the hostility.
First of all, EVERYONE cares because it was a profoundly stupid play that could have cost us big time. Secondly, it is indicative of a larger and recurrent problem with our team which is clock/game management and general decision-making. Third, I'm about 90% sure it WAS Kevin Curtis who made that catch. And finally, why does it matter who the player was who made the catch? It's irrelevant who it was, the point is after a very questionable big first down catch for us, we took a time out as Chan Gailey was grasping the red challenge flag in his hand instead of running a quick run play to prevent him from challenging.
Aside from all those points, thank you for taking the time to contribute to the discussion by providing your poignant input.
In the words of the great John McKay. Reporter: "Coach, what do you think of your offenses execution"....McKay's response: "Yeah i'd be all for that" That's paraphrased, but it's one of my favorite sports quotes of all time and couldn't be more true of our offense today.

Just for that you have to take my Tickets for the Lions game, and go and get tortured, like I do week in and week out.... They are terrible Seats it is close to the field and you can see everything, with this team you don't want to see everything.... Then they gave us those Fan Vision units so we can se replays of the crap.....
feel for ya SFPF..hate the way this team (caoching and players) seems to fold so easily when things are on the line..could rant soem more but seems i am all ranted out...well at least they wont frustrate me the next few weeks cuz it just dont really matter but hope they at least throw you ur $s worth ..the least they could do
On our last series ........ having running-backs in the backfield when we need wide receivers going down the field ! Just silly ........ I was actually laughing at the play calling ! Chad did not even look at Marshal on the last 2 plays ........ stupid just stupid !
I was at the game, best part was when the idiot music director at the stadium plays "We Will Rock you" just AFTER Carpenters last missed FG , game was lost basically ...I swear that person is the absolute worst! If I could punch someone today..
Plus all that crappy latino junk played throughout the game, no wonder no one shows up for the games. It's musical torture and made even worse when we score and have to be subjected to that hokey "fins to the right, fins to the left...", if I have to hear that one more time..I'm gonna die.
