Why didn't we get Sanchez? Instead we get henne. What a difference between these 2 Sanchez is much much better. Watching him come back in the clutch with the texans. Henne could never do what he just did.

sorry, how did the NFL "gift" the jets any of their players? are they supposed to block a trade just because the other team is too stupid to make a better one?
sanchez has the "it" factor, that henne doesn't seem have, sorry to say. it's what separates good qbs from the long line of those with physical tools who never amounted to anything.
I want to smash Sanchez's face in whenever I look at him. Please don't post about how awesome he is and how much you want him. He's not on this team. He's a Jet. Therefore he is the enemy. I hate Mark Sanchez. I don't want Mark Sanchez. I want a QB of our own that will be an elite QB. I don't care to drool over who our mortal enemies have on their roster. I only drool at the thought of beating them.
There is a big difference from saying the guys sucks just because he is a jet ( that is blind stupidity) and saying the guy sucks because you just feel he is not a good player regardless of what team he plays for. I think Brady is the best in the game. As for Sanchez, well he has a better line than Henne and better receivers, with the exception of Marshall, than henne. I think he is over hyped hell I can do good with that squad!
As for why we didn't get....
LT.....why? If we don't run the ball who cares who is back there.
Vick.....Why? Anybody who said Vick would have this kind of year after prison would of been lauged at. Sides he also has a very good supporting cast.
Brees....Won't argue that but again MOnday morning QB. He was a risk at the time and everyone on this board would love to have him but he was a risk

I don't believe he as any more of a risk than the guy we ended up signing instead (Culpepper). Also, he wasn't a risk at all when we passed him over in the draft. Instead we ended up with that HoF CB, Jamar Fletcher. Nuff said.
Aqua Aqua Aqua. I am not saying I love Brady but I respect him. I think the guy is the best in the game righ now. You telling me you wouldn't take Brady on the Dolphins? As for Sanchez I agree. Over hyped with a good supporting cast. I am not sure how we fix our problems but passing on so much talent in the draft leads me to believe that the scouting department needs to be re-evaluated.
Monte- If you are looking to get a QB and 1 option has a shoulder injury and the other has a knee injury I can see where the thinking comes from. If you were taking a RB and 1 has a shoulder and one has a knee then you prob go for the soulder guy. Based on position Culpepper was the better choice. Let's be clear I would of taken Brees over Culpepper any day but at this point I see why it was done. Still a bonehead move.

Problem is, our doctors never evaluated Brees. Saban made that decision for himself. Saban was a good college coach, but had no idea how to truly evaluate talent. Look at Brees' and Culpepper's last years before they were traded. Brees is the clear choice.
