How much was Allen being paid under his contract I wonder? I think we picked up 2.5 million in obligation to pay for Harris. This could have something to do with money? idk. i do agree we should have cut some other loser, not this one.

If you put all 3 of them in the game together and play 13 guys on defense, then YES, those guys aren't worse than Allen. But, take any ONE of those guys, and they could CERTAINLY be worse than Allen.

I'd have to say it completely depends on Harris' knee. If he hasn't lost to much of a step, then he'll be such an upgrade over Allen in the actual CB position. Allen was a ST stud, but lets face it, it's not rocket science to play ST. Run that way in a lane and tackle player with ball. Coverage schemes? He just couldn't grasp things. I read the extent of Harris' knee injury and it's really horrible, so I hope we haven't signed a bum knee'd player. I HOPE the FO did some due diligence on this one, else we're out 2.5 million and a decent ST/backup CB guy.

Zero problem with this.

Allen was a huge bust. He couldn't cover his shadow and was slaughtered by Edwards and Wallace in those losses.

It was an automatic TD off the bat when he started...

He was always out of position and had no balance. He constantly lost his footing and was torched.

His three pics were EASY pickings, any college kid could have taken them...

So, it finally ends. Sabans bust is gone. Whew...

Gotta agree wtih Fleetlord on this, Jason Allen ...just too many mental mistakes. Pats wont want him, he's too dumb.

Gotta say, I don't have real problem with this one. Massive draft bust, I'm almost to the point of just saying we shouldn't even try to draft in the first round, or the second round for that matter

Actaully, the trifecta has been pretty good at first round drafting!
