He has to go through waivers. If you are the Fins, you almost have to claim him on waivers to prevent him from landing back in New England or with the Jets. But, would they really want him? Could he be a good soldier on a team where he is not going to get a lot of balls thrown his way? Could he and Marshall co-exist?
There are at least 14 teams below us who could claim him first. He'd make sense for San Diego, Saint Louis, Washington, and Oakland.

Well, there was the whole press conference debacle last night where he raved about how great the Patriots are, and questioned Childress' coaching (which he was correct about, but probably not something you do in public).

Ok so we found the answer of why he was waved then.
We need to take the chance that it's #2---we aren't winning anything this season as it stands now.
I think the Chargers sign him off waivers, I doubt the Bills or a crap team like that would try it, since Moss would essentially refuse to report
Yes! Sign him!!! Let the coaching staff and Marshall talk to him to see what's going on inside his head. If he starts to misbehave, then trade him for a mid-round draft pick to a team NOT in the AFC East!!! I'd to it just for info on the Pats.

Not *IF* he starts to behave....you must mean *WHEN* he starts to misbehave.
Do you think we can pick him up off waivers then turn around and trade for a third rounder? Who would give a third rounder for a player that was just on waivers? Except maybe Dave Wannestadt. I don't see that happening.

I was thinking a 5th rounder. If we claim him off of waivers, there will be other teams behind us that won't get a chance at him. One of those teams would likely give a 5th rounder for him.
Have you guys seen a change in randy moss in the last couple of years....? I mean he used to dominate with the pats....But all of a sudden he took off plays and it seemed he didnt want to get hit...Seemed like he was just there for a paycheck..
How do you go from dominating from one year to taking off plays and playing vanila the next.
PS. I mean randy moss and brady were like a well oiled machine then BOOM it stopped all of a sudden.
Maybe its just me but thats they way it seemed at times.

Sorry I don't know why I thought you said 'third round' !
I would let him play a year here and see what happens, marshall, moss, bess, and fasano...you can double up coverage on all that talent. I say we sign him and we have a great shot and the SB
you guys who think we can sign and trade him don't know what you're talking about. The trading deadline is over, only way we could trade him which would be NEXT year, and we'd need to give him a huge contract first. ain't happening. But I am in favor of signing him to help us this season. Moss on 1 side and Marshall on the other---wow!
