Only time will tell if Minny was really a challenge or they're just bad this year. BUT it seems pretty clear these Fins are willing to play 4 quarters. At least the D is. The O did some decent work in the first half of the third, but was gone for the fourth. I don't have a problem at all with Henne being cautious if our D continues to play like it does, but they need to at least show up in the second half.
Last year....jason allen falls down and the receiver does not go out of bounds and goes straight for a score. A little bit of luck doesnt hurt in football or in any sport....Its a game of chance....

This actually was a pretty typical Farve game. He either looks great or throws picks. "The Gun Slinger". Kill or be killed. Typical.
That being said, Our D Deserves all the credit we can give them. They were just great. Even when AP was churning up the yards, our D never gave up and shut him down when needed. And he just might be the best back in years.

He was missing the looked good part. This was not a typical Farve game, not even a typical "poor" Farve game.
In games where he has thrown a lot of picks, he'll generally put up some points. Not this week. It looked like we really took him out of the game, and he was just frustrated.
Here's the thing.... I think Minny is used to seeing teams try to stop the run first, and let Farve beat them. The idea being that AP is a much worse poison. In our case we played to frustrate Farve and let the run game beat us. We got away with this because our base front 7 are good against the run or pass. AP did put up some decent numbers, but really did no major damage.
