I hope these guys do as well with pads on. Caroll getting praise is interesting. I know I was surprised when we picked him. It sounds like we may get 2-3 starters and one solid contributor from the draft which is not bad at all.

Is it possible that even with solid and improving play by Sean Smith that Nolan Caroll beat him out?

I know that there are no pads on yet, but it's an intriguing thought.

Carroll isn't beating anyone out. He is a project. He has blazing speed which in this league will always find you a roster spot, but he is raw.

this comment struck me from the article

Patrick Turner, recovering from what one Dolphins person identified as a back injury that required a procedure, isn't sure if he will be back for the start of training camp. ``We'll have to see -- I'll be able to play at some point in the season,'' said Turner, who isn't permitted to disclose the injury

--he'll be ready to play "at some point" during the season? he'll have to do better than that. see ya, Pat

Who knows? Why label him a project before TC?

bc carroll played something like 10 games in his whole college career, and just 1 or 2 last year. he is a project and is not going to beat out our starting CB. the team would be thrilled if he was a ST star and contibuted as a nickle back. but no one is thinking he's going to start as a rookie

I didn't follow Caroll in college and I guess I was a little too hopeful based on the news. You guys are probably right.

Omar Kelly on his twitter made a funny observation about this article. Saying ignore or take with a big grain of salt what these Vet's say about rookies at this time of year. Cause last year this time every vet player said Patrick Turner was the 2nd coming and a superstar.

Obviously they we wrong

Omar is also tweeting that people need to slow down on all of the Misi praise. He isn't going to live up to the hype this year that people are putting on him right now.

Well its to early to tell Mike. Yes always keep a open mind, but obviously there wrong is a bit harsh.

I feel people can forget that, not every player is suited for certain teams, because of the scheme's they use on both side's of the ball, and the differant backgrounds, and ideas that certain coachs bring to the table.

Misi couldt, or may not amount to anything. Way to early to tell, they havnt even practiced with pads.

I'm glad your inlove with Omar Kelly Mikeo, but you should use your own opinion to base your judment, and of course the play, that you see him do to ultimatly decide your judgement.

lol, i use my own opinion. REMEMBER its the one you just said rub people the wrong way all the time (jesus are you kidding me you just posted it 5 min ago eye rolling smiley)

But Omar follows the team everyday and is more connected. And has been generally right on a lot of these things. So when he speaks, listen! I do!
