As much as I hate to see him go. Only one team wanted him, the New York Jets. I believe the Fins may have slipped on this one. All I can say is that I will be rooting against him all year. I want the JETS to choke on this one!!! Go FINS

Miami blew it. i dont understand why miami didnt sign him. no one else has the aptitude to play OLB except wake and he is still a question mark as a starter. does the FO expect to draft a starter in the draft but have no depth at the position. i dont blame JT at all, the FO treated him like trash.
Have to agree with you, dolphin1423. Even if the team drafts someone at that position, you can't toss away that kind of leadership and experience. Miami could have kept JT at a bargain price, because he WANTED to stay here. He would have been a phenomenal mentor to younger players, the entire team had nothing bad to say about him, and his character has been pretty much spotless. I'm very disappointed with the front office's handling of this situation. As much as I despise the Jets, this is a business, and they treated him like we should have. I wish him the best, but I can't say I want him to succeed there.
SIRIUS NFL Radio is saying the Jets told JT the offer was being pulled Thursday at around noon or so....and he has to make up his mind before the draft.
JT has no choice. It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

What a joke. The guy busts his ass for this franchise his entire career, has likely done more for the community of Miami than any Dolphin player, and you say don't show yourself around here again? Haha well ok. Get a life.
Let him go, the Fins never won when he was on the team and the year he goes to DC they make the playoffs, then he comes back and they suck again. I hate to see him go but if the Jets were the only team that called him maybe the Trifecta is not as stupid as many of you believe.
how can you guys blame JT for this. I blame the FO 100%. If they wanted him, or at least did not make it so obvious that they DIDN'T want him, he would have signed with us in 1 second for LESS than he took with the jets.
you guys are nuts. obviously don't root for him when he plays us, but to talk such crap about him when it was the team that acted like asses is just wrong.
MikeO what do you think about this? I don't have any animosity toward JT for doing this--instead, I am pissed at how the FO deliberately make JT feel unwanted here (bc they didn't want him) so that he'd have no choice but to leave so it wouldn't be perceived as the FOs fault. Bush league, treating a guy like JT this way.

I must say Phinsfan, this is way out of line. JT did what he had to do. He's not a trader the Phins are!!
Worst move the trifecta has made period. Could have had a great player, loved by Miami fans, cheap. Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber!!
JT, chose to not give the Phins a chance to offer him a contract. They told him they would handle it after the draft. JT chose to sign with the Jets before the draft. If he really was a Phin, he would have waited till after the draft and played his options at that point. I am glad to see him go at this point, and hope enjoys retired life in New Jersey, the armpit of the world! he will not be welcomed back here I can promise you that. whether or not you all agree, such is life. But every phins fan I have talked to thinks it was a scumbag move. Rightly or wrongly, he bailed on the phins twice, for what he thought was a greener pasture, no pun intended. Can you imagine the grief JT is going to get coming to Dolphin Stadium.. JT said when he was in washington, he was rooting for the Phins. At this point total BS, just so he could get resigned last year. He cant claim, his heart never really left Miami, when he is playing for scumbag Jets! F the Jets and JT. I know all you guys say its not JT's fault, that is BS, JT had other options then to sign a contract with the Jets today, so save the excuses for him. No sense in it. Let him go run with the Loser Jets, and make it that much sweeter when we pound them into the dirt this year. Sorry but I am pissed and JT disrespected the Phins and the Fans by "signing with the enemy" as Espn put it.
Actually I personally hope JT gets hurt, is a failure in NY, is booed out of town, and becomes a man with no home. Thats about what he deserves at this point! and Miami wins the division!
